Harrison Ford breaks ankle on Star Wars film set

Harrison Ford is being treated in hospital after being injured on the set of the latest Star Wars film.

The BBC understands that Ford, 71, broke his ankle in an incident involving a door at Pinewood Studios.

The Hollywood actor, who starred as Han Solo in the original three Star Wars films and is currently filming the new Episode VII sequel, was airlifted to John Radcliffe Hospital, in Oxford.

A spokesman for Lucasfilm said filming would continue while he recuperates.

"Harrison Ford sustained an ankle injury during filming today on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII. He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care.

"Shooting will continue as planned while he recuperates," a statement from the production company Lucasfilm said on Thursday night.

They only have to promote him to Admiral and give him a nice control chair, like Picard's.

They'd be better off discontinuing the CocaCola.

That would not only increase the calcium in our bones, but would reduce obesity, tooth decay, acid reflux and diabetes.

I remember a diabetic production manager who would regularly go insane when his blood sugar was low.

Good lord... we are all getting old and brittle ( I know this well.. unfortunately) . Since when do people want to see a movie cast with geriatrics as the entire cast.

Since original and thought provoking films became a thing of the past.

Those types usually do better with fairly new actors/actresses that haven't been spoiled by the ever weary audience eye.

He's at the hospital near me...
