What's the real reason the top 5 terrorists were released?

I've been thinking about this, and have come to only a few conclusions that I thought I'd share.

1. Obama really is stupid and just let them go.

2. A terrorist org has a nuke and threatened the US that they would cook it off unless they released these guys, and found this idiot to use as an excuse.

3. And this is my favorite. While these guys were at Guantanamo, they most likely had medical issues. During one of the times they were "put under", Dr's inserted clandestine devices inside them that have the ability to hear everything that happens around them, tracks them all the time via the cell signals that are almost everywhere now. These devices are either powered by the body, or even powered by the cell signals themselves. The CIA is constantly listening to everything they are doing, maybe in real time, or maybe these devices "upload" the "take" at certain times during the day or night. They are tracking them every place they go, and could literally take them out any time they wanted, maybe waiting for them to assemble a large crowd of terrorists.

Number 3 gets my vote, it's the only thing that makes sense.

I heard another spin on it last night from Bill Maher.

He pointed out that so long as those detainees were being held at Gitmo, we couldn't kill them with drones, but now that they have been released.....

He finished by posing the question; "Did we actually release them to freedom, or did we just give them a running head-start?"

Option 1 kinda unlikely because those kind of decisions are probably never taken without consulting and advising, simply because the POTUS wanted to.

Option 2 probable.

Option 3 combined with the spin Maher gave, that Flatfish mentioned, is the most likely one.

You forgot option 4:
MH370 was flown to Pakistan, loaded with nukes, and is waiting on clearance for take-off.

1.) One of the terrorist's many wives got their hands on Obama's original birth certificate.

2.) Putin stole Obama's class ring and Is extorting him.

3.) it would be hard to explain a drone strike on Gitmo.

4.) Obama's secretly a Muslim and because he couldn't get them all released, he swore an oath to these fellas.

I don't think anyone at this administration is that clever to be this sinister. I think there is a number 4 and that would be to get all of the scandals off of the front pages, and main stream media. The problem is, in all of their brilliance they didn't take the time to research the man, the military, and the impact of this transaction. Now to get rid of the scandals, they created yet another one. Is it larger or smaller? That is a matter of opinion. This is getting way too much attention even here on ATS, get this guy a article 32 and get on with it. Back to the illegal actions of this administration, and finding out why we can release 5 Taliban pentagon equivalents and they can't even go across the border and get one sergeant out of a mexican jail.

you know this is the second or third time i've seen some one suggest that they have been chipped and being tracked.
it makes me wonder if the everyday run of the mill joe or suzy six pack can think of that, what makes people think that the terrorist haven't thought about it?

and if they have knowing who and what kinda of money support the terrorists, what makes people think that they haven't or can't have the chips removed?

that, combined with the fact that the taliban are actually skilled negotiators. In the US perspective, giving up 5 top guys (including a minister) for a possible deserter would be like the taliban giving up 5 US generals for a taliban defector who converted to Christianity. so why stop at 5? Why not demand the release every single prisoner? And if that theory is true, what makes you think they would use stay true to their word and not use the nuke?

Its the most optimistic theory and I have heard it before. If the US could do that theyd do it to all inmates, close guantamo, save on money while still being able to keep an eye on all of them. However, they decided to get Bergdahl at the end of the war, before they pack up and leave.

The bigger question is why a flock of drones didnt descend upon the 5 men after the hostages were exchanged.

Or maybe something bigger is happening like the real people behind 9/11 are going to be outed soon.

Maybe Obama knows who did the dirty deeds and he is poised to out the iluminatti and NWO factions behind this, maybe Obama is going for broke and he is going to put his faith in the American people,who knows.

If Obama goes after the big players behind 9/11 and shows the world that he is not afraid,and keeps momentum within a few months the JFK Coup de tat participants will all be outed as well,this is an opportunity for a President of the US to unite his country in ways never seen before.At what may be the most critical juncture of the countrys brief history.

I would say that TPTB are going to ground now enmasse,and will not resurface for generations.The Biggest players are going to ground now,they know the hunt is on for them and that the trails leading to them are not going away anytime soon.

This means that the two or three main people will now disappear and to do so their trails must be covered by so many other people being busted that a big enough smokescreen is created.


The outer layers of their protective structure will begin to fall one by one and it will take a very very long time to get anywhere near the top dogs,we will see millionaires and CEOs and small fish going down first,then Billionaires Bankers and Military Industrialist allys,I may be wrong but it seems to me that someone is trying to publiclly dismantle the Military Industrial Complex,and i think the 2 or 3 big fish are orchestrating this to maryter their minions to aid their escaapes,yes i do believe we will now see some real action in many areas as this organised retreat is actioned.

Maybe these 5 have been given a new designer virus that has a gestation approximately of a year. That's just enough time for these guys to start to settle back in right before they become 5 carrier hosts to a pandemic that will start in Muslim countries. Wiping them out from the inside.

Do you think you could get Obama to release all the documents he has been holding including the ones that he put under executive privilege that pertain to Fast & Furious before he outs the NWO & TPTB and solve the greatest conspiracy of all time? This would be helpful in prosecution of officials that allowed guns across the border. I know he is a great guy and president but really we need these documents and others to start prosecutions before he solves the greatest mysteries the planet has ever seen. Maybe he could give us a tour of area 51 and he could bring some of the reptiles to the podium in the rose garden for interviews as well. Thats all.

I think they would call that MAIDS instead of AIDS, a religious based blood disease transferred by green tea and/or goats milk exacerbated by the vocal sound of Allah or a goats ehhh eeehhh. Brilliant concept Mr. Live.

I am thinking more along the lines of these guys are leaders of groups they want to use as proxies to get Syria done and over with .The whole Gladio operations by Nato is quite remarkable .Who can say for sure how many loyal followers they can command .They may not have been in Gitmo all this time but in training in some other site .just my 2 pennies worth .

Just my opinion, but I do think this was just about politics. Obama ran on closing Gitmo, the liberals hate Gitmo, but you can't close Gitmo when it is holding war criminals, so you get rid of them, then it is much easier to let the foot soldiers go, and eventually close the place down. That could be too mainstream of a theory to be correct though, most things they do have much deeper purposes.
