The Bible itself dictates that you cannot be actively gay and Christian. Being as how the Bible is the source of Gods word for Christians I would say that any Christian that does not agree is not a true Christian.

Y'know what bugs me about this whole gay rights issue for the last few years? It seems they want to ram their homosexuality down our throats. I just recently started watching Game of Thrones and there's a lot of homosexuality, call me squeamish, call me whatever, but I don't care to watch guys making out.

Well, maybe there are homosexuals who like watching homosexuals making out on HBO. Did you ever think about that? Also, there's plenty of heterosexual making out on Game of Thrones (and that probably grosses the homosexuals out).

So what does that make me? A homophobe? These gay rights issues are getting beyond ridiculous. Does it mean if I don't want to watch gay porn, it makes me a homophobe too? Going to force that on us as well? Jesus H Christ. Watching Entertainment tonight last night and Neil Patrick (whatever his name is, Doogie Howser) is making out and making gay sexual references regarding straight male actors and everyone's having a 'gay ole laugh' about it. They're laughing! Like it's ok?? If any gay man on tv was making sexual references about me without my consent, they would get slammed with a lawsuit, or a punch in the mouth.

Ha. Well E.T. is primetime network tv, so I doubt there was anything too risque going on there. And what's a straight male doing watching Entertainment Tonight, anyway? Everyone knows that's a chick's show. My husband wouldn't be caught dead watching that show.

Listen, I don't care what sexual preference you have. Just keep your mouth shut about it, we don't care. And don't expect us to put up with what we deem disgusting. This has gone too far already.

Listen, if gays have to keep their mouth shut about their preferences, then straights should have to keep their mouth shut as well. Fair is fair. That means no talking about the wife or the girlfriend, no bringing the wife or the girlfriend to any public gatherings or functions. No going dancing or out to eat or to the movies together - because that would be letting us all know what your sexual preference is. That is, assuming you even have a wife or a girlfriend.

And heeeeere we go...

This is my point. Because homosexuality is supposed to be accepted now, it means they can throw gay sex on tv and us straight people are supposed to just shut up and take it like a man. ( pardon all the innuendo)

I've got 3 channels of sh!t on the tv and at 6:30 pm there's either that or that other stupid show on CBC
Haha nice try taking a shot at my manhood though. I couldn't really care less about celebs.

Noooooo.... it means you are supposed to watch the shows that have stuff on it you like, and don't watch the shows that have stuff on it you don't like. It's what's called being a discriminating viewer. You mean to tell me that other than programs with gay sex, you like every single program on tv? There isn't one program on tv that you refuse to watch because you think it's boring, or dumb, or just not very funny to you? Oh, what am I saying - you watch Entertainment Tonight.

I love Game of Thrones. I don't give a flip if there's gay sex on it. Some people are uncomfortable with STRAIGHT sex and yet they still watch it. Some people are uncomfortable with blood and gore.

I don't see them as ramming violence, blood and gore down my throat. I choose what I want to watch.

That's kind of hard to do when the stuff you don't like is in the same show you do like. Mmmkay? So what was your point again?

Why is lesbian porn so popular? Because most dudes don't want to see other dude's junk. I don't want to see penises in my porn. So that leaves either lesbian porn, or solo girl porn. Although I watch plenty of porn I made, that focuses on the female obviously.

Did I say "Kill them don't think twice about it"? don't put me into quotes that i never made.

Umm I'm not putting you into quotes that you never made, I was asking if that passage was saying kill homosexuals and don't think twice about it.. It doesn't.

It says they/we are deserving of death. Are you interpreting that is we are deserving to live? Just checking as my fellow "christians" seem to interpret things in a real glossy way that wipes away the shame and murderous insanity put down in the fallible written by man bible.

It says many different actions are deserving of death but it does not say go and kill those people. There is a big difference.

The bible is NOT the entire word of god, it is written by men, and all men are infallible, what you have quoted tells me that the gay couple deserve death. as do I for supporting them.

Maybe they do, I don't know and I'm not going to judge you or them. But that is what is taught in the Bible regardless.

Please tell me what deserving of death means? other than deserving of death.....

I could tell you that you are deserving of death but actions speak louder than words. Just because I say that to you doesn't mean I'm going to kill you. What I say and what I act upon are two completely different things.

So when the Bible says it, should people go out and kill everyone who is against the laws of the Bible? No, because the Bible also teaches alternative ways to deal with those types of people and one of them is simply turning your back on them.

In the Bible the OT laws do command people to stone people to death for various transgressions.

I guess it's a good thing christians follow the NT rather than the OT then. Well, some of them anyways.

Yes, but are we Jewish or Christian? The Old Testament should have no influence on how we apply ourselves today because the Old Tesament then and still today is Jewish law, not Christian.

If we were to base our punishments and judgements off the Old Testament, we all may aswell convert to Islam because they are practically the same thing.

Yes, scary as hell. I have "family" that follows the "old book" and they are really garbage people. People that love to demonize anyone that is not them as "satanists" and such nonsense. My grandmother on my mothers side for one. I don't know why, according to the "good book" prettymuch our whole family is screwed lmao. I pity people like her, and hope they can come to their senses.

Chapters 18 and 20 of Leviticus, which form part of the Holiness code and list prohibited forms of intercourse, contain the following verses:
-"Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination."

-"If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."

The two verses have historically been interpreted by Jews and Christians as clear blanket prohibitions against homosexual acts. More recent interpretations focus on its context as part of the Holiness Code, a code of purity meant to distinguish the behavior of Israelites from the Canaanites.

Among evangelical Christians, there is debate about how much of this passage can be applicable today since the Levitical priesthood and animal sacrifice ended in AD 70, with the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans. Many in these groups see references to sexuality therein and as being reiterated for emphasis elsewhere in the Bible; for example, in the Epistle to the Romans. Orthodox Jews continue many of the practices, but they generally regard precepts not in current practice as being in only temporary abeyance until a Third Temple can be rebuilt and they can be restored.

en.wikipedia.org...

As you can see there have been debate on what is applicable today.

Some Christians do believe that people should be stoned to death for various transgression and it has happened a few times.

Solution to this problem is quite simple... just ship product with warning labels, and give it some time to settle in...

In my mind, this should not be problem for people to comprehend - discrimination based on sexual orientation, and I really don't see why is this topic going for 40-some pages...
