I wonder; who is the biggest troll, the still missing MH370 proves a lot.
Russia is not the only country "trolling": www.whatdoesitmean.com...
At least Russia seems not to support muslim extremists...

You know it could just be me, but I believe if you go back and look at especially the WW3 forum, during the start of things going on in the Ukraine, you'll find a LOT of new members (and I mean people registering right at that time), that suddenly were flooding the threads with posts, and then new threads.
Not saying they were Russian Trolls, or trolls at all......but it was something that made me raise my eye brow like Mr. Spock.
Most of those new members were "Pro-Russian" or "Anti-Western" if I remember correctly.
But as the weeks have gone on....many of them have simply stopped posting.
Could just be me though.

I noticed it all over the net, and there were several artificial planted dialogues in here(ATS) as well. If you are a Russian speaker, it is relatively easy to learn to speak English with some aplomb. But it is another thing to write English well. Certain cadence errors come out, or improper spellings are present that show they are a non-native. They had narrow talking points to build on, but certain call words were always present: "Neo-Nazis", "Kiev Junta", "Facists", that gave them away. They must have had a name generator or master list of names picked out, as they tried to present an air of "Main Street". It was obvious they were trying to look like Westerners or Americans who were actively or passively supporting their Putinist view, in some sort of attempt at "Internet Psy-Ops for Dummies" (on any/every web-page mentioning the the topic). Their comments were so "Out-of-Phase" they sounded like "Boris and Natasha plotting to get Moose and Squirel". Be alert, they are still here. I rue the day when these guys discover telemarketing boiler rooms; It would get old fast hearing some guy named Vadim trying to sell me car insurance "with many jumbo savings" on the phone, 19 times a day.

If your fellow ATS members are supposedly all so bad ... then why are you here?
People with different points of view from you are not 'bottom feeders and trolls'. They are just people with different points of view. This isn't an echo chamber.
TO THE OP .... Governments have their internet shills out but they are few and far between and usually very easy to spot. We had a few from China a while back. And at least two from Iran. Always spouting the official government propaganda line and then they couldn't (or wouldn't) read opposing posts. A few times it was like their governments had accounts here and the person posting would change every few weeks. Like it was a practice account or something. Easy to spot different personalities changing in the account every few months or so ...

every time I see you post, you are usually trolling me, for my point of view.
There are members here who have made absurd and arrogant arguments just for the sake of derailing threads because they don't agree with my opinion.
In Internet slang, a troll is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, either accidentally or with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response ...
A shill, also called a plant or a stooge, is a person who publicly helps a person or organization without disclosing that they have a close relationship with the person or organization.
"Shill" typically refers to someone who purposely gives onlookers the impression that they are an enthusiastic independent customer of a seller (or marketer of ideas) for whom they are secretly working. The person or group who hires the shill is using crowd psychology to encourage other onlookers or audience members to purchase the goods or services (or accept the ideas being marketed). Shills are often employed by professional marketing campaigns. "Plant" and "stooge" more commonly refer to any person who is secretly in league with another person or organization while pretending to be neutral or actually a part of the organization he is planted in, such as a magician's audience, a political party, or an intelligence organization (see double agent)

What's even more hilarious is that you're blaming me for terms I apparently don't understand, when I'm the one who has been accused of being a "Russian disinformation agent" simply because I have a dissenting opinion and because I created my account right when Ukraine picked up.
Yes, indeed you can. But presumably your superiors would treat that as ineffective?
I could run around and accuse all the whack job jingoist American types of being shills too, but I think they actually believe in it. And that's why I don't seriously accuse members of being shills- that and I have no evidence to back it up.
