The meaning of '47'

Will somebody please enlighten me on the meaning behind Capital STEEZ Beastcoast and Pro Era's whole movement of 47
I've already heard the basics (suicide, the shift) but what does it really mean?

Welcome to ATS ThirdEyeChakra , I don't know the meaning of 47 except it is 5 more than 42 which of course is the answer to the ultimate question.

Welcome to the site. I don't believe I have not heard of a special meaning of 47. I have a 47 dodge truck though, and a 47 NcCormick Cub. They mean something to me.

If one adds the date Capital STEEZ commited suicide it equals 2047 and I always hear Pro Era and The Underachievers referencing this number, STEEZ once said the numbers are your Chakras, and I've seen some suggestion it is Doomsday even an article in the paper had scientists suggesting it

A timely post. While 47 is not 42, it is close enough, and I happen to be watching the original BBC "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" series at this moment, which another kind poster had recently posted in another thread. If you've arrived at 47, I suspect you've had one too many pan-galactic gargle blasters.

47, maybe someone in the group was born in 66, just like me.

66 was a good year in my opinion. Other than that, 47 means nothing to me.

Did you know Star Trek started in the summer of 66?

Ok, I took a second to google this topic. Apparently someone called Steez last tweet came on 12/23/12 which adds up to 47. Mystery solved.
