You are really going to try and compare the two?

The cops aren't trying to take over your house and they aren't trying to kill every person of a certain ethnicity in your neighborhood.

Good try but that isn't even a legit comparison, as they are two totally different scenarios.

Knock and talk happens all the time. Sometime they use door to door salesman as their cover, sometimes they get more creative.

It is happening and I can not put on the blinders and pretend that we do not live in a growing police state.

Nazi Germany is a valid comparison given that history has a way of repeating itself. Fortunately the American people are waking up to the growing police state and we are voicing our concerns without being silenced.

Just so my story will not slide away. This really happened.

Little did they know my Xgirlfriend was getting locked and loaded while I was getting interviewed...had they forced entry it would have got messy. That said they never identified themselves as LEOs, I'm just glad they did not try to force their way in. They had no clue what they were up against. I'm no dummy and their line of questioning for magazine salesmen flagged me among other things. They were visibly upset when I told them to go away.

I just want to add that i worked door to door for selling cable,net and phone (verizon fios) and met plenty of magazine salesmen, or traveling salesmen selling this product or that, and they are just sketchy
I am willing to bet my big toe those guys were just really looking for some illegal stuff since a good majority of them travel away from their home town.
Door knockers get he cops called on them, happened to me plenty of times, don't think cops are using them as spys.

And they would say, ok but, we never asked to come in nor do we want to. We are going door to door to let you know we are here if you need anything or if you become aware of any crime tips you can call this number on this card. This is called community policing where we reach out make sure you know we are here to help. And then as they leave most like you will here the words paranoid nut bag muttered but, that might just be your over active imagination.

I get the title for the OP generates much more attention but, at least do a little research so it does not end up being completely wrong. All you do is look bad for the more intelligent members who will check into the facts and make the paranoid nutters who believer everything they read even more paranoid.

I can tell when someone is fishing for information by their questions, as I am very good at doing the same. They were indeed fishing for information, I threw the interview off because of this. Now because I had my suspicions I tailed them at a safe distance until they made it back to their car. The were undercovers....no doubt about it.

Given the way that couple talked and asked questions one thing was obvious, they were not stupid. It is stupid to go door to door trying to look for drugs while you are selling magazines...another flag is they knocked late in the evening like 9ish......

Of course not. It is the cops who posse as door to door salesmen, Jehovah's Witnesses, the Cable/phone/utility guy, ect.. who covertly go door to door to snoop around.
