All I know is...there are some members here, if I ever do hear their voices in real life...my delusions will be shattered.

I've said this elsewhere ... When I read Busters posts I hear Sheldons voice speaking them in my head.

That being said .... I have a 'guy name' and a 'girl avatar' ... so if anyone has a crush on my ATS persona ... they are probably a bit confused ....

Same, I easily switch emotion between threads with the same person who may be in a conflict in one topic, but we agree in another. A passionate theist who may damn my soul in a religious thread will still find a genuine friendly chat in my deep fried food recipe thread if we stay on topic!

I actually browsed a few controversial niche forums on the net this afternoon, assume I can't name them, but ATS is an absolutely beautiful world (with all our differences) compared to some of the unchallenged hateful topics I read through elsewhere on the unmodded net.

Autumn has it right. I am female through and through. The gender reassignment surgery was me joking around with boy monkey.

Yet, I have found myself wondering about the gender of a few members based on their avatars. It's human nature to try to assign a gender to someone we communicate with online. By knowing the gender of a person we say something to, we already will have a preconceived notion of how they will respond to something we say.

Example. If I were to say this *I have horrible cramps* to someone online I didn't know their gender...there are 2 options of reactions.

A woman would feel compassion and tell me to feel better soon, or feel an affinity to what I'm feeling. Whereas as Man's first thought would be...
rruuuuuunnnnnnnnnn.....

When i was 5yo right after Jesus healed me i was told that i would come on this website and tell all i know but that hardly no one would believe me. At the time i was not sure at all of what was explained to me because internet had not been created yet. I remember planning to use all my powers to deny this attraction. Now i kinda have the thought of it really does not matter what truths i spit here because no one really believes or can really put it all together except google lol Funny thing is that i have been here about the same times as you.

I understand that, it is why my avatar pic is actually my own male eye, but close-up and in greyscale to disguise the pink face paint I had on at a music festival, keep 'em guessing. I quite enjoy the 'keep them guessing sexual orientation' thing in certain situations as well, just your standard non-conformist beyond saving I guess, I even carried a girlfriends rucksack and all bags as well as mine, walking with a confident smile behind her at Abu Dhabi airport once because that's what all the poor Arab women seemed to be doing and I wanted to send my personal message.
If looks from the men could've killed!! Lol

*Edit*
Actually no 'lol' for Abu Dahbi on second thoughts, I did it as a serious personal protest against an oppressive male society.
I waited until past customs/border/international zone though, I'm not stupid, some of those Arab blokes would have attacked me for sure in an uncontrolled no CCTV environment. I stared my message to every one of them.

@ antebellium
in the last couple of years it seems as if people are herding up, like water finding it's own level. I tend to think the quasi remote viewing it sounds like you are doing is pretty normal. (at least to me) Since you are visually reminded more on ATS, thread titles, snippets of conversations than other websites, it's possible ATS just triggered latent ability?

Hard to believe MB has a cat....
Have never been sure if that's a rock or a potato in Rickymouse's avatar? (mystery is good)
Phage is insanely smart, a little testy, but just insanely intelligent.
Des reminds me of a jack of all trades. She's a multi-tasking superhero.
TheGut has some questions I swear he leave's unasked! Gosh forbid anyone "read him" ...LOL!!!
Vasa Croe I swear I see a snowy owl, but "hear" white crow....oddness for me.

Will be the first to admit my name here is a huge misfit, add the avatar and it's no surprise I don't fit in very well! LOL!!!

People tell me I sound like the Allstate guy from TV.

I've had more than one person upon meeting me in person say, "Woah! I thought you were a black man!"

You know, I used to somewhat picture ATS people in my head based on their avatars and the kind of posting they would do - and then I stumbled across an old thread that has members pictures in it. I had at one point saved some of the images in a little folder so I could "see the face" of the person that I was "talking" to here. Anyhoo -

www.abovetopsecret.com...

After seeing the faces behind the posts - there were quite a few "not what my mind pictured" people as well as the revelation that there are quite a few beautiful conspiracy-minded women on this forum! Just sayin'!

And it looks like the thread is still being posted in.

Rock or potato... I always thought it was some kind of nautical knot - like the knot you tie your boat to the pier/dock with. Now I'm more confused!

I have a banjo-playing Hitler doing the "Angus Young" for an avatar. If someone is attracted to me because of my avatar.....we got problems.

Anyway, I tend to keep up on certain people on ATS because I enjoy their work and they are a pleasure to converse with. That's about as "attracted" to members as I get.

I will say that since I started doing the radio shows, I have been able to have some great conversations with other members and through those real conversations have become great friends. Hell, I even met adjensen for a steak and a beer.

So I think you can find some great people on ATS and friendships/bonds can form.

Sorry to further derail...but I just clicked on your link and listened, and you're very talented. If the band comes together and you start touring, I hope to see you make it up here to the Great Northwest. Every September we have quite a few country acts play at the Puyallup Fairgrounds (in Puyallup, WA)... so I'll be watching. Good luck - you certainly have the skill!

I'd share a picture of myself...

but ISIS security might not approve, and I have to stay on Krieger's good side to get that keg installed in my car.

Besides, if I posted a picture -- I might break the internet.
