NEWS-VIDEO: Frogs Before People?

Yep, it appears to be another LAND-GRAB. This one is in California and appears to be ... BIG!

NOTE: I would POST some PARAGRAPHS ... HOWEVER ... There appears to be a "This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed." located at the bottom of their page.

SO

I'll just let out some keywords within the article:

17 California counties
2 million acres
Public Lands
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Endangered Species Act
frog
toad
Fresno County Sheriff
cut locks
gate
Memorial Day

-
OBSERVATION: Where are the MSM ???

( i.e. I can't find much more about this CURRENT-EVENT ).

DISCLOSURE: I don't live in California, so I don't have any 1st-Hand-Information.

Sounds like they're "herding" people into smaller areas because they're "closing off" 2 million acres to "Public" people.

More authoritarian and totalitarian tactics.

I think 0bama is behind this yet another Agenda21 experiment.

The story says the Fish & Wildlife Service does not want humans getting close to Sierra Nevada Yellow-Legged Frogs and Yosemite Toads.

Very odd indeed.

So as June 30th quickly approaches, all this group can do is continue to take a lawful, united stance.

"We can take this back, we can fight the government," said Buzbee.

On Memorial Day, these protesters plan to cut locks off a federal gate to express their opposition.

Well ... Memorial Day being a federal holiday, it may be a good day for lock cutting ... but it sounds more symbolic than anything else.

Will have to keep an eye on this one. The fact that it's happening in California has me scratching my head ATM.

Land grab? Who is it being taken from and given to? Do you have any information that private land is being taken over by the government? Seems one of the biggest problems has been the introduction of non-native, frog-eating fish species into pristine, high altitude lakes for sports fishing. I don't think there's much to be reported on at this point beyond the fact that three frog species have been declared endangered species and that the USFWS is expected to determine the critical habitat by next year. Beyond that I haven't read anything regarding specific activities which could be restricted let alone anything remotely resembling a "land grab."

Nearly 2 million acres in 17 California counties would be closed off to the public

-
OPINION: "LAND-GRAB" would be from the ... State of California ( i.e. citizens ).

"This is our home and it's being taken away,"

SUSPICION: Including some private-ownership that lay within the Zone(s) ???

This whole landgrabbing issue in the US. has to do with Agenda 21 by the UN.
The NWO wants a big chunk
of land in the USA of Limits for ordinary people like you and me. They want them in big citys to better control the population.
---------------
From Agenda 21 news
The idea behind Agenda 21 is to force citizens to live, work and play where government wants not where the people want. Government, under the Agenda 21 program is moving toward giving incentives to build apartments and commercial properties near government transportation systems. On the other hand government is creating disincentives for those wanting to live in single family homes and lives where they want, away from the center of a city. And, this is being done by the crony capitalist of the Los Angeles Business Council as the voice of Agenda 21, the front group for government and special interests.

I don't trust this story at all and don't have time to look into it further right now. Suffice it to say, there has not been ONE "land grab" by the US government in all the stories that have made that claim. Most likely, this is just another case where the US government is changing use purposes, which they have every right to do.

I'm pretty sure this is TOTAL BS. The land isn't being closed or restricted. There are 2 species being added to the endangered species list. THAT'S IT! By the way, this started MANY years ago (2001) and this story is from 2008:

The agency in 2006 designated 450,288 acres of critical red-legged frog habitat — a fraction of the 4.1 million acres initially recommended by agency scientists in 2001.

Source

This is a recent story:

“Once the listing moves forward at the end of June, those who have been irrationally fearful of some unknown government plot to take away public access will see that every bit of public land will remain open,” said John Buckley, executive director of the Central Sierra Environmental Resource Center. “Not only will the world not come to an end, but almost no one will see any changes due to the listing. Federal agencies will simply be legally required to take extra care to avoid harm to these disappearing species.”

The "17 counties" is just where the frogs are found. The doom and gloom being spread is just GOP representatives, using everything they can think of to rile up the people up against to vote against Dems for the mid-term elections. Everyone bitching about adding these frogs to the endangered list are republicans.

If you find anything that backs up your original story, let me know, but I can't find a thing that states that ANY lands will be closed.

I found some additional ... Arguing-Background:

Defend Rural America - Frogs and Toads

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service sent out a notice of intent to expand the closure of California’s forests. This addition spans 2 million acres, 14 counties, and 9 national forests along the eastern spine of California (see the map below). It is an area 30% larger than the state of Delaware. If transit corridors and buffer zones are added at a later date, the area could increase 10-fold. And this is only the start; there are 477 more species in the queue for consideration.

The reduction in frog and toad populations is not a mystery. It has already been studied. By far, the two main causes are the planting of trout in mountain lakes, and a virus being spread worldwide by the African Clawed Frog.

Loss of habitat is not the problem, and “habit restoration”―the removal of humans and every human development―is not the cure. The Endangered Species Act remedies are not relevant. The proposed actions will not fix the problem. They will only further hurt the people, their families, their communities, and our national self-sufficiency for food, water, energy, timber, and minerals.

Additional Background/Info can be found there.

That story is from a year ago. And where is this Fish and Wildlife memo?

Even World Net Daily (whose article is from a year ago) says the feds MAY close 2 million acres... Did this happen last year? If so, why is your original source getting up in arms about it NOW???

Something tells me you and your friends are being manipulated. What puzzles me is how willing you are to cooperate.

From your source:

The USFWS is accepting comments on both the listing and critical habitat designation on or before June 24, 2013.

Oops! You're too late!

This whole thing appears to be putting 2 frogs on the endangered species list and designating critical habitat for those frogs. What's the problem? Where's the "land grab"? That's a talking point the right wing is throwing around a lot lately. Damn you, Obama! LOL
