All this proves is that either Alan West is the kind of person who believes anything he's told or that he makes s# up. How is this newsworthy? Since when is an unidentified guy on a plane who "knows a guy" a credible source for ANYTHING? If he'd been sitting next to Giorgio Tsoukalos would The Blaze be "reporting" on "A Former Congressman Is Making Explosive Allegations After Allegedly Being Told Aliens Built Pyramids?"
[...] - The Obama administration secretly gave its blessing to arms shipments to Libyan rebels from Qatar last year [2012] , but American officials later grew alarmed as evidence grew that Qatar was turning some of the weapons over to Islamic militants, according to United States officials and foreign diplomats.
… the Obama administration clearly was worried about the consequences of its hidden hand in helping arm Libyan militants, concerns that have not previously been reported. The weapons and money from Qatar strengthened militant groups in Libya, allowing them to become a destabilizing force since the fall of the Qaddafi government.
[...] The United States, which had only small numbers of C.I.A. officers in Libya during the tumult of the rebellion, provided little oversight of the arms shipments. Within weeks of endorsing Qatar’s plan to send weapons there in spring 2011, the White House began receiving reports that they were going to Islamic militant groups. They were “more antidemocratic, more hard-line, closer to an extreme version of Islam” than the main rebel alliance in Libya, said a former Defense Department official. (read more)

In 2011, Mr Obama said the Libyan rebels were “saying the right things” so far. “Most of them are professionals, lawyers, doctors, people who appear to be credible,” he told CBS.

Allen West just said Tammy Duckworth isn't loyal to America because she's volunteered to go on the 'special' Benghazi committee. The same Tammy Duckworth who lost both her legs in the Iraq war.
Allen West seems like a terrible human being, in my opinion.
"I just don’t know where her loyalties lie," West said of Duckworth, during a Wednesday night interview on "The Janet Mefferd Show." "You know, for her to have been a veteran, a wounded warrior for the United States Army, she should know that this is not the right thing," West continued. "And hopefully, you know, she will remember the oath of office that she took as an Army officer and not the allegiance I guess she believes she has to the liberal progressives of the Democrat Party."

geez....it's allen west for christs sakes....look him up...here's some of his bats**t statements....thinkprogress.org...
I never knew much about West but if that is the worst that the heavily biased "think progress" can come up with, then he does not seem bats**t to me.
I will reserve judgement until more facts come to light before judging him solely on his party affiliation.
His party has nothing to do with it the guy is a nutcase. No one should be judged because of party affiliation you judge them by their statements and this guy's statements meant show he has lost touch with reality.
Nutcase? You mean like Pelosi and Debbie Wasserman and Hillary? That kind of nutcase?

Can't you liberals give it a break. You can't blind us or lie to us anymore so you want to divert our attention?

West's awards and decorations include the Bronze Star; Meritorious Service Medal (two Oak Leaf Clusters); Army Commendation Medal (three Oak Leaf Clusters, one Valor Device); Army Achievement Medal (one Oak Leaf Cluster); Valorous Unit Award; Air Assault Badge; and the Master Parachutist Badge.[3][15]
We know how much respect the left has for the military. So what's your opinion of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi? Stable individuals, huh? lol

Interesting, that is generally what liberals say about any black people who are not aligned with liberal progressive agendas.
Are you sure you're not judging the book by its cover here?
The real test in whether what he says here has any validity to it will come only with substantive proof. You are dismissing his statements prematurely.
If you were a conservative, and were saying things like this about a black liberal, you'd be called a racist.
Here. Before you make a fool of yourself calling him a disgrace, maybe you should know what he did. You call this disgraceful? In a war zone where the enemy doesn't wear a uniform? What war were you in that makes you a veteran? You would do less to keep your men safe? Were you a leader of men or a grunt?

Didn't take long before somebody played the race card did it? Did you even bother to read the statements he made? More than likely not. The man was a disgrace to the military and should have been thrown into prison for his actions.
Iraq interrogation incident[edit]
While serving in Taji, Iraq, West received information from an intelligence specialist about a plot to ambush his unit. The alleged plot reportedly involved Yahya Jhodri Hamoodi, an Iraqi police officer. West had his men detain Hamoodi.[16] Soldiers testified that in the process of detaining Hamoodi, he appeared to reach for his weapon and needed to be subdued.[16] Hamoodi was beaten by four soldiers from the 2/20th Field Artillery Battalion on the head and body.[17] West then fired his pistol near Hamoodi's head,[16] after which Hamoodi provided West with names and information, which Hamoodi later described as "meaningless information induced by fear and pain."[16] At least one of these suspects was arrested as a result, but no plans for attacks or weapons were found.[16] West said "At the time I had to base my decision on the intelligence I received. It's possible that I was wrong about Mr. Hamoodi."[16]
West was charged with violating Articles 128 (assault) and 134 (general article) of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. During a hearing held as part of an Article 32 investigation in November 2003, West stated, "I know the method I used was not right, but I wanted to take care of my soldiers."[17] The charges were ultimately referred to an Article 15 proceeding rather than court-martial, at which West was fined $5,000.[16] Lieutenant Colonel West accepted the judgment and retired with full benefits in the summer of 2004. Asked if he would act differently under similar circumstances, West testified, "If it's about the lives of my soldiers at stake, I'd go through hell with a gasoline can."[17] At his hearing, West said that there were no ambushes against American forces in Taji until he was relieved of his leadership post a month later.[17] After West's retirement he received more than 2,000 letters and e-mails offering him moral support.[16] A letter supporting West was signed by 95 members of Congress and sent to the Secretary of the Army.[16]
...it’s impossible to verify the claims at this time.
