See, I LIKE being up in an aircraft. The two times I have actually gone on an aeroplane (it was a return trip, so thats two right there!), were both
great from an experience perspective! The feeling of acceleration, even in a passenger aircraft is like nothing else I have ever experienced, and
looking out of the window at the lights of cities below in the night time is breathtaking.
However, there are some things I really hate about flying. On the outbound trip to Greece, I caught a cold from someone on the plane/the air con
system, and was laid up for the entire week. Also, I find airports sincerely aggravating places to try and be for any length of time.
The other thing is, that since I last flew (which is almost half my lifetime ago, which is a terrifying thought in and of itself) security at various
locations around the world has increased, slowing down check in processes, and meaning one has to spend a greater amount of time in the airport before
boarding. On top of that, visiting places like America for example is just a no no. There is no way that I would PAY to go to America, and risk some
jumped up mall guard sticking a gloved finger up my behind to check for drugs, explosives, and of course, their own sick amusement.
I look like a maniac at the best of times, so you can bet that if a plane full of people get off an aircraft, and security agents are looking for
anything that stands out, it will be my behind on the line.
