Hey Night Star!

How are you today?

It's a hot day down here in sunny Southend-on-Sea, and I just totally monstered a contract job for a school round the corner, despite some pretty tricky technical hurdles being in between myself, and successful completion! I feel about forty feet tall and bullet proof right now!

OK, I think we were mostly still in the cave with the wizard, after the big fight.
Some have gone outside to forage/cook etc?

So, here goes...

********************

Gordi stared fixedly at the wizard as he got to his feet and dusted himself down.
He was smirking to himself, like there was some big joke that he hadn't told yet.

"Something you wanted to share?" asked Gordi menacingly...

The wizard looked up to meet Gordi's stare and he smiled.
"I haven't had this much fun in.... well decades actually!" came his reply;
"I'd become sullen and bitter - sorry for myself at my own lonely existence here.
I reolise now that I'm my own worst enemy sometimes. This isn't a bad place to be really.
I have treated you all terribly, and I'm so sorry. You must all hate me for what I've done?"

"Well, you haven't exactly endeared yourself to us yet" Gordi quipped,
"But why so bitter? so twisted? so angry? Can we help you in some way?"

The wizards' face dropped slightly and his smile faded to a look of sad resolution;
"I'm afraid that no one on this earth can help me, I fear I am doomed to spend eternity here.
For without the true magic of the lost realms of the Sun, Moon, Fire and Re-Birth as wielded by the ancients... I am a prisoner here."

"The ancients? queried Gordi, "was it they who stranded you here? What stops you from leaving this place?"

"Yes!" cried the wizard, "well, one ancient in particular... but you could say that I deserved it at the time.
If I try to leave... I encounter a forcefield of energy so strong that even my own considerable powers cannot penetrate it.
Without the lost realmstones I have no way of increasing my powers to the levels required, and so... here I am."

"What exactly do these realmstones look like?" asked Gordi... (they couldn't be what he thought they were... could they??)

"Well" said the wizard, " the Fire realm is symbolised by a mighty Dragon, sitting atop the spiritual realm of re-birth, a huge egg. And rising on either side, entwined with the Firey Dragons wings are the realms of the Sun and the Moon.
All made of rare gemstones which glitter and glow brightly when brought together."

Everyone in the cavern looked up in unison when they heard the wizards description of the realmstones,
for they were none other than an exact match for the Dragonstone set that our rainbow warriors had in their very possession!!!

Gordi looked round at the assembled gathering and saw smiles breaking out amongst them.
He nodded quickly then spoke aloud;
"Wizard, can we trust you to stay here in the cave for a few minutes?
I need to discuss a matter of great urgency with the rest of our party outside!!"

Hi Jacy! Hope you have fun with Mom-In-Law for her B-Day today! You are so nice to do that for her!!

Gordy! Kool addition! I like the little twist that it takes!
I have done a bit too that I will drop in here in a couple mins......
I took the end of my last, and used Night's last entry for the beginning of this latest from Me......

Night, I hope You don't mind that I am borrowing your last entry!? I thought it would help to have it at the beginning of my latest addition. To help mine make sense......

Previously;
NightStar had gone hunting for Boar while CC and Syx built a fire for roasting the beast......
(Then the end of Syx's entry says,)
'Now relaxing against a tree while they wait for Night to return, CC and Syx notice it has become quiet in the cave. Eerily quiet................'

(NightStar's entry after that,)
'After a while, the white wolf and Night Star appear with a great big boar, ready for roasting. She smiles widely at Syx and CC, as they drag the pig to them. "I even gathered up some tasty herbs and root vegetables." The elf suddenly noticed a bunch of little 'people' all around. "I see we have company." she stated. Alisa flew over to them. It was obvious that the little faery was aquainted with these beings as they were all laughing and talking together like they were old friends.

Together they tied they tasty beast up and placed it over the fire. They made a large pan out of abandoned metal pieces they found around the woods to roast the vegetables in. Night noticed the look of concern on Syx's face. "Is something wrong?"'

(Now,)
"Yes Night, I think there may be something wrong!" Syx responded. " It has become very quiet in the cave! I am just wondering why that is, is all......"

"Perhaps the Wizard has been defeated Syx!?" Night said.

"Why don't we ask some of the Fixers to go in there and see what is happening you guys." CC says to Night and Syx.

"We would be happy to find out why it has become so quiet in there!" One of the Fixers says joyously.

A few of the Little people head off towards the cave entrance as the rest of the group watch. They make their way quietly into the shadowy mouth and dissappear into the dark cave.

As soon as they were out of sight, they returned, with the rest of the Warriors on their heels. They were all smiling!

"I take it you have defeated the Wizard?" Syx asks of the group.

"Not quite Syx." Replied Gordy."But we have found out that the Wizard seeks the very same stones that we have in our possession!"

The group excitedly chatters amongst themselves of the implications of such a discovery!

Gordy says to the group," I think we all need to sit down and discuss whether or not we should let the WIzard use these stones to strengthen himself to the point that he may overpower the forcefields that hold him prisoner here."

"I smell Bacon!!" Shouted Homer!

Laughing at that, Night says to everyone," Maybe we can discuss the dilemma over supper!! We have fixed a very nice meal for all of us right over here!"

"Maybe the Wizard would care to partake in the meal as well?" One of the Fixers mentions......

Great new additions to our story Gordi and Syx!

I would love to add something tonight but I am too sad. Mark is still dizzy and vomited today. I think I convinced him to let me call his doctor tomorrow to make an appointment for him. Hope he doesn't fight me on that in the morning. And my niece came up in tears earlier today. Some test showed something and she needs another. She may be having a down syndrome child. She will of course still love the child, but it is upsetting none the less.

Tomorrow I will have to deal with getting medical coverage. Have no idea what that will cost me but Mark has coverage and still has over a thousand in medical bills. I'm over a thousand in debt because of medical bills myself. And in 9 days Mom will be 91. Scary.

Wow Night! First, Thanx about the story addition(s)!

I too hope Mark won't fight You in the morn about getting him to the Doctor! He needs to go! Tell him, We would rather meet him under happier circumstances, than having to go there and kidnap him, to get him to the Doc!! LOL!!!

I hope the tests Your Niece had done so far, may have had error in the results! Maybe the newer tests will prove just that!? Let's hope so Night! A downs syndrome Baby would be upsetting no doubt. But the love for any child by good hearted people, usually out weighs the negatives......

Happy B-Day early to Your Mom!! Tell her I am glad she had You! You have made a place in CC's and my hearts.

You are always in our thoughts Night!

Wow looks like it's been dead in here all day. Finally got Mark in to the docs and right from there he was sent to the hospital.
Poor guy gets high blood sugar counts wether he eats or not. For years they have been trying to control it with the right dosage of meds. For a type 2, the doc said he shouldn't be as bad as he is. He has come close to death before. So scary.

Stephanie at least got good news of a healthy baby and it will be ...a boy!

Did the wizard kidnap everyone today?

I'm home now. The vacay din't go as planned as it ended on a dark note. But as I see it, the Wiz is in negotiations with the Wiz.

How sad is that? Happy to be with peeps I've never met over family? Though me and Syx will meet at some point and I would love to meet the rest of y'all face to face...for a day anyways.

At first, most of the companions seemed more interested in filling their bellies than discussing the woes of the Wizard. Once everyone had enough to eat and drink, they began their discussion. Night Star looked around at her friends. "I say let the wizard borrow the stones and allow him his freedom. I'm sure any one of us would have been driven half mad being stranded here as long as he has been."

Nope, but the storms did capture my attention for a bit - the wind is still kicking up over here, but none of the severe weather that was promised hit.

And I'm sure it will be on the news, but Detroit let all of it's school systems cancel school early, all because there "might" have been thunderstorms. Might. Really - shame my school didn't do that, instead, we had to stay indoors if there were storms.

I'm still here & well, keeping an eye on the Pandemic stories to see if any are able to be more gruesome than mine.

Was thinkin maybe we can get together, have Foss and Homer meet us at yer place, then road trip it out to see NightStar!! That would be a fun road trip man!! LOL!!! And of course, gather up anyone else in the vicinity for the trip......

Foss Bud! How are ya? I wasn't going for gruesome with my entry in the Pandemic stories. I wanted to try for a twist at the end of mine. Not sure if it was taken that way though......

Night, I have a short entry to go along with yours I'm gonna drop in, in a minute here......

"I agree with NightStar you guys. Any one of us would be as mad, or worse than the Wizard by this point. I can understand why he is doing what he does. I'm sure you can all see that too, right?" Syx replies to Night's statement.

"Let's see a show of hands for those who want to let the Wizard use the Stones!"

Several of the Fixers raise their hands immediately.

"Umm, do the votes of The Fixers count?" CC asks.

"I don't see why they shouldn't CC." Syx replied. "They have been victims of the Wizard probably longer than any of us ya know?!"

"Ok. Fixers can vote too. But maybe they should vote separately. Then we can add their votes to ours." someone stated.

"All in favor of that addendum, signify by saying Aye!"

"AYE!!" was heard unanimously......

Phew! Hi Gang. Just popping in to say hello, I am still alive.

School started with a bang last week and my feet have hardly touched the ground since. I LOVE it - the buzz, the excitement, the returning pupils pleased with last year's grades, the ones who are disappointed and you need to encourage all over again, the new pupils who are looking at you with reserve on their faces and wondering "is this teacher going to be cool and make the subject fun or is this going to be a tedious year?". Identifying the lazy ones, the scared ones, the over confident ones, the cocky ones, the enthusiastic but don't really have a clue one, the this-subject-is-impossible-and-I-am-going-to-give-up-now-before-we-start ones and my personal favourite - the year 7's - first year in secondary school, wide eyed and they love my subject (science) because at secondary school they get to do all the really cool experimental stuff that does not happen much at primary school and they are still young enough to be over enthusiastic. They are like trying to teach a room full of playful puppies climbing over each other with excitement.

I DON'T love so much the beginning of year endless round of department and school meetings for everything from subject discussions to meetings about individual pupils identified with special problems to deal with, to whole school meetings filled with time wasting buzz words like target, inpire, achieve, focus.... etc.

It is that time of year when, if I did not write INHALE. EXHALE, REPEAT into my diary it probably wouldn't happen, so I apologise for being long gone and for not catching up on everything before I post. I just wanted to say hi, and let you know I am thinking of you all and sending good wishes to all my shed friends. Life should hopefully settle into a new routine soon which will allow me to once again pop in here regularly.

I am off now to inhale and exhale and check the lesson and meeting schedule for the day. Love you all.
Hugs,
Mura

Hi Mura! Nice to see You again! And good to see that You are as excited as some of Your Students about the new School Year! I loved Science Class as a Youngster. Still love Science related topics. Fascinating Stuff! In jR. High, 7, 8th, and 9th grade for my school at the time, it helped that my Science Teacher was Hot! She was the main reason, at first, that I liked the class. Then the Science aspect took over, and I was hooked!

Have Fun, and stop in when ya can Mura!! Later, Syx.
