Beautifully written, however unnecessarily remorseful.
I see the death that approaches us all as the beginning of a
great adventure. The end of the mundane and the solving
of the great mystery. I fear nothing in this life or the next
and recognize there is much to be feared in both.

Thru Jesus Christ I look forward to that which most fear.

The only thing that I fear in death...is being forgotten.

I hope to write a book one day, so at least that part of me will continue to live on.

When I wrote the OP, I was so very depressed. I wanted my Mom so much it was a physical pain. I was having flashbacks of my life as I packed to make the trip to the graveyard. I needed someone to talk to someone. Hence, the post

Like I said, I'm not afraid of dying; I'm afraid of not dying well. I can't explain it any better than that.

First, you are a wonderful matriarch, I am positive. You have grown into the role, and know best now how to be that for everyone close to you.

Second, yes, it's a bit frightening wondering if you did well in life, scared you didn't leave a mark... I have worried of that too.

But I will say dear lady, you made a difference in my life. A real one, its a debt I'll never be able to repay, but I will pass on to someone else if I can.
