So maybe it wasn't a rock! Michael E. Salla, Ph.D. makes a strong argument for this to some kind of creature hat blend in well with rocks.
OK ATSer's, let's have at it!

The five images from the Spirit Rover mission show an object that has clearly moved in the sequence. The object appears to be some kind of animal that blends in well with the surrounding rock. Given that NASA experts refuse to discuss such a possibility, it is reasonable to agree with Waring. Hard evidence has been found that there is some kind of indigenous life roaming the surface of Mars.

How convenient for the Mars planet scanners, an animal that looks like a rock.

"Moving rock?" More like moving shadows.

How are you making that distinction? I don't see any other "shadows" moving in these pics? And aren't some of them taken in rather close time proximity?

So, these mars...-supials? have evolved perfect camouflage to avoid those huge predators??? I've no idea what advantage it gains... Unless it's to camo itself to sneak up on pebbles??

a reply to: nighthawk1954 i watched this a day or 2 ago and was gona post a thread, honesy i dont know what to think.... for how smart this guy is supposed to be he missed some key points.... that large rock object is not the only one that moves or what not. If u examine the pics closely u will notice by the large cracked rock there are.several small ones as well that are in some pics but not in others. i cant say wether or not its not a living object.. it wouldnt suprise me, if there is life/bases on the mon, y not on mars?

Every year we dig manure into the garden and in the process we pull out the rocks. We've been doing it for years and there shouldn't be any rocks left but every year we find some. My husband is convinced they are migratory.

I am not saying this is the reason the Mars rocks are moving. There is more than likely a reason for this happening. Have you ever heard of the Sailing Stones in Death Valley? Check this out.

I'm guessing it's just an illusion due to Parallax

I was thinking that too.

To evolve a camouflage in nature it is to evade predators or slowly sneak up on prey...
Where are these predators?
Where is the prey?

Perhaps, everything on Mars has evolved to look just like rocks, just to make Arken happy.

Look like a turtle standing on it's hind legs to me. Can't make out any ninja swords or masks though. No pizza in the vicinity either.

Interesting, wonder what it is and why it doesn't show in all of the pictures..

Looks like shadow cast by the rock on the right. See top of that rock it has a small petrusion facing up which is responsible for the head in the shadow.
