Now I may not agree with the politics of the region, but how can you say that a county is evil? The leaders may not agree with your point of view, but the entire country? And just because they don't agree with you makes them evil? I guess that makes about half of the US evil since they didn't vote for Bush. I am curious as to your rational for calling them "evil"

If the leaders are the evil ones then the people must rise up and take them out. I have hope for this option. Otherwise, if the people go along with this race for nukes and missiles, then take them out too.

Germany had a chance to take out Hitler (maybe) but just "took orders" and followed them. Evil is as Evil does.

Do you have any idea what it actaully takes to make a civil war successful? That's what you're talking about. The time, effort, and resources that are involved? They did in 1953 I think. Overthrew dictatorship and put in place a democratically elected PM. The PM didnt go with the wishes of the US and Britain. Read about operation Ajax.

How many of those people do you think depend on the Iranian oil export industry for a means of income?

It seems like every time we (US) we step in it! It's a shame it is not oil! China in the mid to late 2005 will surpass the US in demand for oil. As you can see from their recent mining accidents they are throwing everything they have at the energy problem that is looming on them now; not to mention the hundreds that have perished in the past month. Iran is holding the dominate hand. I do not see them throwing away any trumph cards soon. As for our energy needs, Mr. Bush needs to get our butts in gear and get the ANWR under construction. This will take 4 yrs. min. to reach full oil production and until it is up and running, we are held hostage to OPEC and some of those overpaid people in D.C. need to get their act together and start trying to fufill the needs of those who put them in office.
Im really not in favor of destroying Alaska's pristine land and views, but this is the only feasible way to see us through this. Other sources of power are still on their knees due to to high of price to implement vs. energy output. Just a thought

Venezuela could use a set back in oil production by Iran. I doubt that Iran is going to have much influence over a nation with a lower GDP. They are probably beging for an increase in production.
