The Idea that Yanukovich was a Russian puppet is joke of it's own. Yanukovich still DID encourage neo-nazi movements back in the day. That is by no means pro-Russian How is that Pro-Russian by any means. But I agree. He was a corrupt asshole. Although so is the current Power. Burning people alive. Hell, Yanukovich was an aglel, compared to that. Yanukovich forbid live rounds on maidan. Current power said "shoot to kill" for the protesters. People who support maidan are idiots. Sorry. I lived in this world for far too long.

The entire Slavic peoples are more predisposed to fascism, relative to Western Europe or Japan.

Millions of souls perished because of Stalin but Russia was never defeated because of it. And so they never learned this difficult societal lesson.

This is the unfulfilled legacy of Russia and also the rest of Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. They have not killed each other enough yet, with enough efficiency that a state of total war was reached. Russia should have learned this lesson but it won its great Patriotic War despite its recklessness in the 1940s.

This is the cultural deficiency and imminent tragedy of human kind. And we will pay for it collectively again.

Do you have ANY idea how ridiculous you sound to anyone who has an ounce of common sense.

Hitler and Fascists attacked Russia, 20 million died to defend and drive NAZIS to Germany.

And you call Slavs fascists. LLLOOOLL

There is a very old saying
He who digs unjustly a hole for another to drop in.

FALLS INTO IT HIMSELF.

I have no doubt in my mind whatsoever, that US Empire will not last the next 10 years.
I would stake my life on it.

But I am cheating a little, because some aspects of the future, are known to me, I can't explain further. Has to do with spirituality and stuff, too complicated to go into.

I wonder if those same people loving Putin wish for the leaders of the US to embezzle literally hundreds of billions of dollars too?

Well unless you want fracking under you houses and did not notice that US politicians are doing nothing to stop it then may i sugest that Putin has nothing on the leaders that are running the USA.

Bankers and corporations run the USA, it's a fact and I would take Putin over 99% of them anyday

I have been waiting for one of your sort to emerge and start belittling individuals in our otherwise respectful conversation.

Welcome RadiationAndCancer!

And as a bonus you have revealed to us that you possess shamanistic abilities and can see into the future.

Yes congratulations, you sure managed to make me appear 'ridiculous'.

If you cannot see the numerous parallels between Hitler and Stalin -- among them, the way they both exercised complete authoritarian rule, persecuted all political opposition, committed genocide against ethnic minorities, and recklessly used their own citizenry as cannon fodder, not to mention their mutual invasion of Poland under the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact -- I cannot help you achieve higher intelligence.

They say brain development peaks at about 22.

But good luck with that seeing into the future thing!

My entire point was that Russia has never been totally defeated while under authoritarian rule.

So, unlike Germany and Japan for instance, many Russians have never given up the psychological desire for a 'strong man' exercising absolute power.

If anything, Russians hold onto this desire most of any people, because it was a strong man who lead them through their horrific losses and suffering of The Patriotic War to emerge victorious.

Despite Khrushchev's denunciation of Stalin in 1965 and the ample evidence of his mass killings and deportations, Stalin's image has been partially rehabilitated in recent years.

It does not mater what you call it -- National Socialism, Stalinism, Juche, The Junta of Chile -- these are all fascisms.

It would be very difficult to argue that Stalinism put any less focus on supremacy of a nation and peoples than did Hitler's or Mussolini's regimes.

If you do not believe me, ask the many ethnic minorities of Central Asia whose cultures were systematically suppressed and outlawed under Stalin. Ask them whether they think the Russians did not subscribe to the idea of their cultural supremacy.

It is very problematic to look at these regimes in a 'black or white' way. Often the far right and far left share much more in common with one another than they do with the middle.

Looking forward to hearing what you think.

I was very impressed with this film--how closely it followed events as they unfolded.

Yawn...

Obviously you did not watch the film.

(It is extremely critical of the Muslim Brotherhood.)

The whole point of my posting this is that it shows the complex dynamic of a popular revolution and how different entities come in and take advantage.

Euromaidan was definitely a pluralistic movement of the people -- contrary to the tired Russian propaganda about it being all neo-nazis or CIA initiated.

But who came in and tried to take advantage of Euromaidan after it started is -- now this is definitely something up for examination and debate.
