Walked by a large group of beautiful women doing a demonstration to save those girls. I told them the Marines has already saved them and to thank the Marines, all you gotta do is let me take you to dinner. I've never been the focus of so much woman - ire before...

How about we all wait until the information is absolutely confirmed before we start patting our own compatriots on the back. It is, after all, an 'inter-agency' effort! According to some British media, the real 'search' is being conducted by the best 'special forces' in the world, ideally trained for this sort of rescue...and that is the SAS and SBS.

Just a note that few know.....many u.s. marine force recon guys go through the SAS course. Force does most of its training in the dark. BOOO!

According to Nigerian Voice France sent 3,000 soldiers to guard the borders. John Kerry says he sent seven experts but no combat troops.

From this site, apparently they have been found, just not rescued yet?

The sources told Saturday Vanguard in Abuja that members of the United States Marines who are already in Maiduguri following the promise by President Barak Obama to assist Nigeria in rescuing the abducted girls, located the girls inside the forest, using some Satellite equipment which combed the forest, located an assembly of the young girls and sent the images back to the Marines on ground in Maiduguri.

Aside locating the whereabouts of the girls in the dense forest, it was also, further gathered that one of the leaders of terrorist group who participated in the abduction of the girls was arrested by a combined team of the US Marines and Nigerian forces.

I am not sure if they have been rescued just yet, but this Nigerian website says they have been found and a leader arrested.

ya thats the site we've all been trying to figure out if its true or not. to me it cant be true, if they really did find them i cant believe they would telegraph their hand like that?

the vanguard is turning out to be a pretty bad source from reading around the web. people in africa dont trust it and say its a propaganda machine so I'm not getting to excited at this current time. so sad...

Good!...I hope they will be able to get the girls out safely, then call Taps Taps lights out for all those incredibly vicious and ultimately use-less POS individuals and organization.

Does it matter who gets these girls out as long as someone gets them out safe and sound?

All this dick measuring is quite embarrassing.......as are some of the earlier posts in this thread.

Not seeing anything about this on socnet.com, that would probably be the first place to hear about it since those guys KNOW active duty Force Recon Marines.

Thing is, if they have been taken into the Sambisa forest and split into a number of groups, getting them all back alive will be nigh on impossible. Each group will have to be located and dealt with simultaneously with the other groups. The logistics behind that and the combat expertise required for such an operation will require joint efforts and communications between the individual special forces of each country taking part.

The corruption and 'couldn't care less about the girls' attitude in the Nigerian army doesn't bode too well. Johnathan may insist on Nigerian forces taking part and that would lead to disaster. At the moment, I don't think the situation bodes well for the girls.

While you may be correct... I saw Nothing in the article that proved the story 'wrong' or 'unfounded'.
Thanks, though for the attempt to prove-it-out.

The part where they dont know there location is a good start. It mentions rumors and says they were likely separated into smaller groups. So this leads to a logistics nightmare not only do you have to locate all the groups you also have to coordinate attacks provided they havnt already been taken out the country like the article states. This is going to be a mojor effort by even US armed forces way beyond capabilities of Nigeria. Pray maybe theyll be released that is the best outcome. If not only option left is a joint effort from say US France and UK because this would be a major deployment to fight jungle warfare.

When you put it that way, I wonder if it isn't more like a trap.

Im thinking that was the original intent draw Nigerian forces into the jungle look at Vietnam a much smaller force can win in jungle warfare,I just dont think they thought the international community would get involved and im still not sure how involved there going to get.
