Looking at that reminded me of the "Streak Eagle" records set in the 70's with a bare unpainted F-15A aircraft. Makes me wonder if they shouldn't try
it again with an F-15EX in a couple of years and see if they can beat the record. A nice new pair of GE-F110-129's would help that nicely. Actually
I'm wondering why the USAF didn't specify the -132 version as fitted to Bahrain's Block 60 Vipers. The -132 actually chews less fuel at full AB.
