India being one of the quieter countries.Although they are a member of BRICS.I view them as fence sitters until no longer possible.So this is a interesting development.Yes this is just a test.However, it's timing is interesting.Also suggestive of Russian support by symbolicly denoting Russian design? Wars,wars and rumors of wars.Woke up this morning, to the news of many countries becoming Active today.Via drills,Alerts or pledges.Countries that have so far remained quiet.

The link and article is not a hoax.I titled it wrong in a hurry, Get over yourself.

India has been increasingly trying to concentrate on more home made goods. Rather than foreign equipment .
There was also recent tests on building up a missile shield , currently all major cities in India have a missile shield ...

But a thought
India is building weapons to fit its Russianbuilt fighter planes

Probably a good thing for Russia, as they could probably use some good weapons suppliers in the near future
Probably a good thing for India, as they could probably use some good production jobs to get their people to work

So its a plus plus?

More than likely India wants to be able to sell their own missile to other countries that may use Russian Fighters.
Arms companies don't make money selling arms to their home country, they make it by selling it to others.
But it's your tax payer money going for the research and development.
Sometimes a company will fund their own research and development but it's always nicer when someone else buys lunch.

Several years ago an Israeli company upgraded India's Fleet of Russian MI-24 Hind attack helicopters.
I doubt they are all in collusion together.
Arms companies don't have loyalties, only stock holders.
