Sir, you are just plain wrong. This could have killed the kid. His momentum was stopped by hitting the ground on his tailbone and/or spine. The drop was 15ft high. The kid has no pads on his butt and back.

I remember when I was a kid we would go to the local aquatic center and my father used to enjoy using the diving boards.

Back then they usually had a 1 meter and 3 meter board. This is before insurance regulations ruined it for everyone.

Anyway I would climb the 3 meter and always get cold feet and climb back down.

Then one day, after I climbed all the way up, ( when your a kid the 3 meter is like cliff diving ) Like the norm I got cold feet but when I turned around there was my father up on the board with me.

He grabbed me, picked me up walked to the end of the board and dropped me off the end.

That was the end of my cold feet.

Mask you do sound like a great Dad. I hear that a lot too and it still shocks and humbles me because I thought this is what a Dad is supposed to be like.

What is sad is that being a great Dad should be the normal. Not a surprise or shock to someone. The society we are in had destroyed families and bastardized fathers. We look at everyone as a potential enemy, instead of a good person until proven that they are not.

I am sure that the father in the video was treated the way by his father, and unfortunately it will probably continue to the next generation unless something changes.

Here I thought kicking 6 year old boys from 15ft drops was dangerous due to how many half-pipe injuries I have seen personally. Bones broken, skin ripped open etc. And that was teenagers. THANK GOD you are wise enough to tell the world kicking this small boy over the ledge was safe and respectful...

To all assuming you will always slide safely down a ramp like this, you are wrong.

A Vert ramp like the one on the video is HEAVY for a newcomer. If you catch your feet at the bottom or drop too far before you get to the curved transition YOU ARE GOING TO SLAM.

Please go try it for yourself people if you haven't had the experience.

Exactly. That is almost a straight drop. Lean too much and face plant on the bottom, or break an arm.

I was raised a good man. A wimp? I'm 6ft3 with over 8 years of self defense training, countless fights including one where I was stabbed. I have defended weaker people my entire life.
