Cloaking spray paint built on nano tech at Univ of Michigan?

(Published on April 1, 2014). A cloaking paint developed by Michigan Engineers sprays on clear and dries invisible. Once dry, it guides light around an object, causing it to become transparent. (NOTE: This technology only works one day each year on April 1.)

So ..... is it real or is it Memorix?

I would note the character playing the lead scientist saying "....of course the military is heavily involved" and later saying "I worry about this getting into the wrong hands".

As far as I can tell -- if the government had possession of this tech, it would mean that it's already in the worst possible hands. What do you think?

Maybe they just want you to think its an April Fools joke. This could be a real disclosure to see how you react!!!1!

I can picture 1000's of gullible teenage boys jumping for joy as they read this and plan out their route to the nearest girls shower block...a la 'porkys'.

Its like a april fools joke about fusion power...which is actually a thing...
Anyhow, I would say we are maybe 20ish or less years from it being this advanced (and publically acknowledged)

Using paint to cloak a car would be impossible. I doubt we will see invisibility in our life time.

This is clearly one of those half-full, half-empty kind of things. You might see it as being 1 month late but what if it is actually being 11 months early?? :-)
