I think people on this forum already know how bad the situation in Fukushima is.

I notice that there's many Made in Japan food selling in locale supermarkets recently with a cheap price.Especially those food made in east Japan, very cheap...

Boycott all Japan food is the only thing we can do for protest the Japan government, but how to let more people boycott all Japan food?Usually those hot selling Japan food is targeted children here.Their package with anime characters and cute cartoons ,the target customers seem not really care the radiation.

Seem Japan love to selling radioactive food by reading many old news.(Found radioactive food import from Japan...)

Do not BOYCOTT Japanese food. In fact, those of us who have been boycotting Japanese products can now resume using them, as they have stopped their program of "scientific research whaling." They have apparently learned everything that can be learned about whales by eating.

What you mean to say is AVOID Japanese food. If you believe that all Japanese food has magically become poisonous in the wake of Fukushima, you may wish to AVOID Japanese food. On the other hand, you may wish to research whether specific food items are produced in areas that still have high residual amounts of radiation and avoid those specific products.

Kind of bad to hear such news. There used to be Seven Stars cigarettes, but I haven't seen any now for sell for 3 years. Maybe someone here out of Tokyo knows if they are for sale in that area. Or they have them at tax free shops in the airports.

I thought this was common knowledge by now.
The Japanese nuclear scientists had told their government to halt all exports after finding high radiation levels but was never implemented due economy. Even after Katsutaka Idogawa came out and admitted he lied about the severity and stated that it's out of control, no ban has been implemented.

That aside, in the end, it's up to the consumer to make their own choices.

No tobacco actually grown on Japan, just a Japanese company which sells cigarettes. They also sell Winston.

Also, food for thought-
Pakistan and South Korea have implemented a ban on imports.
Turkey has begun testing their imports.

But there's many old news about Fukushima people fake their food product origin on the package, they claimed it's from another prefecture.
You can search"福島産 偽装"(made in Fukushima camouflage) to find them.

To aid your English, boycott food imported from Japan =)

To add to the list.. same with Gulf of Mexico.

May as well start considering not eating sea food in general unless you caught it yourself from a safe location

We have a place here in town called "Seafood City," a pretty cool asian style supermarket complete with a jolly-bee and chow-king. The fish are mainly pacific coast mackerel, tuna, sea bass tons of variety. However most on ice show signs that something is wrong with them. The gills are black, some have what appear to be colored impressions on the heads(like the start of a burn) etc.

I had a friend went there with his geiger counter and waved it over some of them and the numbers were way above normal.

There were also recently some people checking out the beaches in California (many different places) getting readings of 1000-1500 percent over normal background, and still no one will say anything.

Smith's is always having sales on tuna in can because they are not selling it as much as they used to, I asked one of the clerk's about it and he said people are finally talking about the radiation and avoiding foods due to the bio-accumulation.

Are you in Daly City?

Jollibee and Chow King are from the Philippines. Daly City is a common destination so just wondering =)

We have both in Las Vegas now.

Nothing from the waters on the east side of Philippines is safe, it all needs to come from the western side. The bio-accumulation, and the higher radiation content being so close to Japan will kill you if you don't do otherwise.

Was all over Philippines a few years ago, beautiful place. Pampanga, Manila, Cebu. My wife is a filipina.

I think if we boycotted totally everything we may worsen the life's of the Japanese people, not everything product wise is contaminated

I'd certainly boycott seafood, I love pacific sardines as a good source of omega 3 ... But I heard the japs love seafood so perhaps maybe they can keep this one for themselves I'm sure they won't be complaining.

Research before you boycott, the Japanese people have suffered enough, it is not the fault of the Japanese people remember
