Cant start a thread or give flags??? Please help

Hi all
I know i'm posting in the wrong place as don't seem able to start a new thread in any other forum.
Only recently joined ATS and may be doing something wrong.
My laptop is a bit of an antique, Running xp and using Firefox 28.0
Would be greatfull for any help to resolve this issue.

You have to have 20 posts to start a thread and give flags.

To start your own thread you must have 20 posts under your belt.

Not sure about giving flags though.

You have to have 20 posts before you can start a thread.
When you go to somebodies thread, you can click on the flag (top left) and it will turn solid....unless the page hasn't finished loading.

Hi, welcome to ATS!

If my memory serves me correctly...(you have to have 20 replies in other threads)...before you can create your own thread in another forum.

Its to prevent New members from spamming,

Let them build some post and get a good sense of the place before posting threads, or flagging.

Most forums do it to prevent manipulation.

This is a private-members only forum (to thread and post), and as such...read the rules and T's and C's we agree to here when joining. Lots of helpful hints available.

Thats why I havent been able to start a thread.
