And I'm going to say the same thing as I said in your other empty one link thread. Please add something to this you're perspective, how this matters anything but one lame link and no commentary.

Again, read the T&C's

Fifth grade students at Zeman Elementary School in Lincoln, Neb., were recently sent home with a “flyer” outlining how they should handle bullies. The instructions were apparently deemed so ridiculous by parents that the school district quickly issued an apology and the “inaccurate information” was pulled.

That was after the nine “rules” for dealing with bullies went viral, of course.

Here are some of the more questionable ones:

• Rule #3 Do not be afraid.
• Rule #4: Do not verbally defend yourself.
• Rule #7: Do not tell on bullies.
• Rule #8: Don’t be a sore loser
• Rule #9: Learn to laugh at yourself and not get “hooked” by put-downs.

OK starred you for listing some of what you obviously meant for us to look at. Do you think these are bad guidelines? They sound pretty ridiculous to me. Guess they came from the PC leftist "Can't we all just get along?" community.

Personally I'd tell my kids to defend themselves and then show them how. Lunch pail to the head comes to mind.

My opinion of it goes like this: If people let the schools teach their children this kind of crap, how do you think they will act once they graduate, TO THE REAL BULLIES OF THE WORLD. That 9 Rule picture is a direct link to Common Core that intends to make the children into weak subservient people that obey authority to the letter and encourage their peers to pick on them. Lol if Corporate employees complied with these Rules, theyd be fired on the spot. Practically everything in the real world is a cruelty amongst the populace, think of Reid vs Bundy then imagine a kid from this school using those 9 Rules as a guideline of how to deal with bullies regardless of the law. Hence the reason i posted, even though the foolish faculty public apologized, gauranteed theyll try it again, simply to make your kids easy to target of malpractice and peer pressure. Its kinda like reverse PTSD, instead of taking an experience and attempting to heal from it, they are attempt to put the scenario there and teach them to be accepting of it without comprise. Marines would let their rifles answer if the govt gave them these stupid rules lol

The best way to deal with a bully is to kick them in the groin then repeatedly stomp on their face when they're down.

In my humble opinion.

Something I wish I had been told before I went to school, is that if someone speaks ill of you, invades your personal space, shows aggression toward you, or behaves in a way which makes you sad, mad, or afraid, then there is only one legitimate response.

Destroy them so totally that they will never look you in the eye again. Crush their entire pelvis with your knees, smash their faces until their lips, eyes, nose, and ears bleed, stamp on their necks, break their ribs, and snap their fingers one by one while they are unconscious. Accept nothing but the most respectful behaviour from your peers. If you get used to being treated poorly early on, it will only become more likely to happen as you grow older, not less.

In short, either you will be respected, feared, or victimised. By all means, avoid violence when it is not necessary, but have no doubt, it will be at some point, and when it is, you had better hope you have more brutality in you than your enemy.

Glad everyone so far seemed to "deal with bullies" the correct way instead of the coward school system version. Though id appreciate this getting flagged cus the idea is to scream "FU" to the system saying ATS dont take # from tyrannical institutions such as the Common Core crowd.
You should know that if one school is willing to put this garbage into the student file regardless of parent banter, what do you think the next try will be. I got bullied to, but in the end of the school life, the conclusion came to be: The Self means more than the crowd. "Better to be feared than to be loved"

What students learn in terms of the curriculum, is not nearly as important to me as getting the basics right. If schools and the law refuse to deal with bullying with a zero tolerance approach, then no matter what they call their curriculum, whether they call it common core, or strawberry cheesecake, they cannot expect all students to have a successful and worthwhile experience in education.

Even if the provision of knowledge is as perfect as can be, unless the environment is one in which the children feel safe, are not being abused, they will learn more about dealing with danger, than they ever will about the subjects they are being taught.

1 Most definitely safety first, except when it comes to microsoft and their delusional surveillance dogma.
2 Out of business and career crap(sake of owing to the dollar), i dont quite see any reason to have faith in public schools. What is being taught, outside of obedience and the will to not care about getting beaten, that the students actually use in their lifespans that cannot be rightfully found in any public library.
3 Morals and ideas of individuality flew out the window with the last 2 generations. Whats left seems to be mind control and the willingness to serve commercialism instead of the intent of personal growth and founding a new generation of world leaders to take the place of old tyrants. The way these things are going, they are going to believe they NEED those tyrants to be safe and free. Is anything at the current moment preparing them for the reality check they receive upon leaving high school?

This is really disturbing, and has made me consider homeschooling more than anything else. It's bad enough that I can't help my daughter with her math homework (common core is teaching a totally different method than what I, and probably most of y'all learned).

So Rule #6 acknowledges the reality that children are physically injured by bullies and then they follow that up with Rule #7 which says 'Do not tell on bullies'? WTH?

I was bullied quiet badly for a couple of years at school and tried every 'correct' method of dealing with it.

In the end i snapped and put the guy firmly in hospital. I never had trouble with him or his friends after that...just saying.

One day my son got on the bus and one of the kids started to repeatedly bash his head against the window of the bus. After the first couple of times my son punched him! Well both kids got suspended for this and I ended up going into the principle's office with my son.
He admitted that the story my son told me was true but still supported the suspension so I asked him just what my son was supposed to do? He was supposed to tell the bus driver who by what I understand knew what was going on or report it when he got to school! '
The kid could have been unconscious with a concussion before he got to school!!!
My husband made a good point the other night. When we were in school there were twice as many people who would be willing to stick up to the bullies on behalf of the bullied! There was much less bullying back then!!

Now they are taught sticking up for yourself is wrong in grade school and we are wondering why so many think it's such a grand idea for them to take our guns!! We aren't supposed to stick up for ourselves and protect ourselves! We are supposed to just take the beating till those in charge of protecting us finally get off their arses and do the one job that we need them to do!!
