Have we reached the point in these United States of America, where someone of accomplishment and distinction cannot, or should not attempt, to simply speak their mind freely while the President of the United States happens to be in attendance?

Dr. Ben Carson gave a speech at a breakfast meeting, while Mr. Obama was sitting at the table a just few feet away. It is being reported that somebody from The White House called Dr. Carson shortly after the breakfast meeting, indicating that Mr. Obama was "offended" by Dr. Carson's remarks, and that Dr. Carson should call Mr. Obama and apologize.

Dr. Carson was Invited to speak at the breakfast meeting, but apparently he did not "tow" the preferred political line desired by those who simply did not like what he had to say.

What does this say about our current state of politics in the U.S. ? Does Dr. Carson owe President Obama an "apology" because he simply said what he believes ?

Was this an attempt to silence Dr. Carson or any other American who disagrees with the powers in Washington D.C. ?

It isn't surprising that the Emperor would demand an apology.

Ben Carson should have told him to GFH.

Maybe the POTUS should have thicker skin.

Just sayin'. After all, he is the POTUS. Critisism on a daily basis is blasted at him. You would have thought that he'd be tougher by now.

Isn't this really saying "Shame on you Dr. Carson for speaking your mind, or standing up for what you believe in..., for you have now offended the most powerful man in the world " ?

Because the boy who would be king couldn't handle any criticism. The government controlled media wraps him in a cocoon 24 / 7 espousing his stupidity, cowardice, and anti - constitutional hatred. Although this obamanation has the right to push his agenda, it is the medias lack of fair reporting on how and why his programs are total disasters that keeps all the low - info people enthralled and ignorant of the true damage he is causing. The media in this country needs a revolution - like cast them all out. If this was WWII and our media were doing it's anti US thing as they are doing now, all these "journalists" would be twisting in the wind of a large oaken tree.

First Mr. Obama needs to apologize to the American tax payers and voters before he can demand apologies from anybody else, he is the biggest liar in the nation this days.

LOL!
This president is so petty and childish that it's ridiculous. I agree with some of the other posters above: STFU Mister Obummer
You are an extremist that is in the minority of American views. Many americans, even people all over the world, do not believe the same things that you do. Imbecile!

Was The White House attempting to silence Dr. Carson, as a means to suggest to other men of African-American heritage, and of stellar reputation, accomplishment and distinction "Do not speak of matters that run counter to what we want you to say" ?

When anyone talks down to Obama or does not agree with him or his administration they are racist, when your a black person that does the same thing, you are called on to apologize and kiss the ring.

I wonder where Holder came down on this.

He probably got up off of his knees, wiped his chin.... then called Carson to yell at him, just like the Emperor told him to do.

lol thats funny
when you are a one trick pony and your trick is to yell racist when confronted with any truth,
but then your critic is black...
maybe he should have played the antisemite line instead

The only apology that should involve Obama is the one that we should give the world that we are sorry that he is our president.

According to the racist "progressives" and the racist DNC, African Americans must toe a certain political, party, and philosophical line or else they are "race traitors" and "Uncle Toms."

The hypocrisy, but when the shoe deed is from a citizen in a country that we "liberated" and "destroyed" is call by the warmongers "New found freedom of speech", here in America is a sign of domestic terrorism and anarchy. I guess the courts and the elite politicians forgot "Bush shoe incident" in the pursue of oppression

There is absolutely no proof that Obama himself demanded an apology for anything. Even Carson himself said that Obama didn't seem hostile or angry at all during or after the speech.

“He did not appear to be hostile or angry,” Carson wrote in the book.

Just because "someone" from the prayer breakfast organizers called, doesn't mean Obama put them up to it personally. Most likely he had nothing to do with it.
