Have we reached the point in these United States of America, where someone of accomplishment and distinction cannot, or should not attempt, to simply speak their mind freely while the President of the United States happens to be in attendance?
Dr. Ben Carson gave a speech at a breakfast meeting, while Mr. Obama was sitting at the table a just few feet away. It is being reported that somebody called Dr. Carson shortly after the breakfast meeting, indicating that Mr. Obama was "offended" by Dr. Carson's remarks.
Dr. Carson was invited to speak at the breakfast meeting, but apparently he did not "tow" the preferred political line desired by those who simply did not like what he had to say.
What does this say about our current state of politics in the U.S. ? Does Dr. Carson owe President Obama an "apology" because he simply said what he believes ?
Was this an attempt to silence Dr. Carson or any other American who disagrees with the powers in Washington D.C. ?

Battleline
When anyone talks down to Obama or does not agree with him or his administration they are racist, when your a black person that does the same thing, you are called on to apologize and kiss the ring.
I wonder where Holder came down on this.

Was The White House attempting to silence Dr. Carson, as a means to suggest to other men of African-American heritage, and of stellar reputation, accomplishment and distinction "Do not speak of matters that run counter to what we want you to say" ?edit on 16-4-2014 by rickynews because: (no reason given)
“He did not appear to be hostile or angry,” Carson wrote in the book.
