White House confirms CIA director visited Ukraine over weekend

On Monday afternoon White House spokesman Jay Carney confirmed that CIA Director John Brennan visited Ukrainian capital Kiev over the weekend and met with high-ranked Ukrainian officials.

Previously, deposed Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich accused Brennan of ordering a crackdown on pro-Russian activists in the east of the country.

The CIA had already dismissed these accusations as "completely false", but did not disclose whether its chief had actually been to Kiev - until now.

What possible business could the American CIA director have in Kiev when he met "high-ranking officials"?

The Russians and the elected Ukrainian government seem to believe that the visit from the CIA director coincides less than coincidently with the announcement of massive "anti-terrorism" operations in eastern Ukraine- also coincidentally where countless rallies against the new Kiev regime has resulted in a separatist movement that seeks independence.

Most people know the CIA is looking at the situation between Ukraine and Russia.

If the CIA is stoking the fire it is up for debate. You have provided no proof.

Although I believe the CIA is involved in quite a bit to include resistance going on in Russia...its pretty normal for many agencies to observe each other during times of crisis for education sake.

Did you know Delta Force was present during the raid in Waco, Texas? They were just observing though.

Mapp told RIA Novosti in a commentary that the situation around Ukraine was an extremely important and ticklish chess game, played by all the countries involved.

According to him, the US is trying to divert Russia's attention from Syria, while Moscow may show one and all, above all the BRICS countries, that it is capable of damaging the US economy and currency in this standoff with the West. For these reasons, the way the chess game in question ends will have an enormous importance and consequences, it is therefore quite logical that the CIA Director decided to personally visit Ukraine.

Mapp says he believes that Brennan did pay a visit to Kiev, although he admits he has no direct evidence of that from his sources. According to Mapp, small wonder if the CIA was not only involved in, but also organized and controlled the protests from the outset.

According to the journalist, the Ukrainian scenario of the past few months is very much like any other CIA-planned scenario. He says the CIA has quite an experience in staging state coups, including in Ukraine, citing the Orange Revolution of 2004 as evidence.

"The second big development is the clear increase in the quality of the forces opposing the takeover of the eastern Ukraine by the revolutionary regime in Kiev. Well it is obvious why they are there.
They don't want to lose control of the eastern part of Ukraine.
The recent uprisings seem to have alerted many agencies.
I doubt that the CIA is the only foreign agency there.
It seems pretty intense though that the CIA Director himself is in Kiew.
Putin must have something to do with the recent uprisings...

It has been known for a long time that they shoot their own people and Russia has been calling for an investigation from day one but this is only now starting to hit the main stream propagnda outlets.

Could it be that the potato was too hot and now they are planing on droping it (the Ukraine) and this is why this is only just comeing to light ?

I think that the Ukraine will be split up and the only question is where will the lines be drawn.

We get another Greese, want it or not and Russia gets a buffer zone against US lead agression in the region.

Can we now please get on and blow the gas lines (yes sure its was russia that done it, found Putins passport in the fire) so that the USA gets to save our soles in Europe by offering to sell us gas at treble the going rate so we then get an excuse to frack europe to death in a few years time.

I like your little rant / sarc at the end .Ok so we knew about the sniper's being part of the coup very early on in the story or at least suspected it dew to the phone call hack .At that time we had listened to the Nuland f_ _ _k EU phone call and new it was Washington that was behind it . Now it's a cold potato that no one wants to eat and may have to be thrown out lol I am not so sure that the US will be fracking anytime soon over there .I read a study somewhere that it would take a min. of two years to be able to replace Russian gas so unless Europe and Ukraine want to just use extra sweaters for the next two winters ,it aint gonna happen .....peace

I think that Russia is a threat to US ability to be # 1 ..Without the ability to place your military bases where ever you want there is a problem ..Another thing that I think is playing in this is the monetary system .It would seem that the USD is going to crash because of all the fraud .Their plan to have the world currency is like the ability to launch war at will .With Russia being close to China and the BRICS nations working out the details to dealing in their own currencies that would be a big no no for the US .If US can some how cause the flow of gas to Europe they will weakin the Russian Economy ....big players ,playing for big bucks ...

There were also these guys that went to Ukraine.
