Were those the ones with the ID that listed their occupation as SPY? I guess the Russians are the only one's with access to camo in the Ukraine....

LOLOLOLOLOLOL.

I remember your thread about that....I still chuckle over it.

Maybe you should go back and read it because we ripped that lie to shreds. I especially loved the photos of the "massive" troop build ups "right on the Ukranian border", which were pics taken almost 400 miles from the border of 1 apc on a trailer.

The only evidence he's providing us with here is that he's a paid shill hired by the government to sow disinformation and bias on the internet.

Just saying.

Our best course of actions is to ignore him. I'm gonna do some research to see if its against site rules to misrepresent one's identity on ATS (I know its illegal to impersonate another person here, but that's different). Until then we should just ignore said rhetoric.

EDIT: He's also been childishly popping up in my threads and trolling the # out of them.

We... Wee now is it? Who is we ?

Well I'm certainly not going to be feeding the trolls today, but Russia's military build ups are not 400 miles away, as proven by NATO to Russia blatant lies

The US annexed Iraq?
reply to post by TritonTaranis

Iraq war was illegal and breached UN charter, says Annan

The United Nations secretary general, Kofi Annan, declared explicitly for the first time last night that the US-led war on Iraq was illegal.
Mr Annan said that the invasion was not sanctioned by the UN security council or in accordance with the UN's founding charter. In an interview with the BBC World Service broadcast last night, he was asked outright if the war was illegal. He replied: "Yes, if you wish."

He then added unequivocally: "I have indicated it was not in conformity with the UN charter. From our point of view and from the charter point of view it was illegal."

Source

So..lets just recap....the war was illegal...ergo...everything that followed was also illegal.

This illegal act cost almost a MILLION innocent lives....left almost 5 MILLION people refugees, destroyed Iraqs entire infrastructure...and left it embroiled in a bloody civil war, which continues to this day....and people are still dying.

So...no they didn't annex it. Cause by the time they were done with it...Iraqs oil had been given to multinational oil companies....face it.....there was nothing left worth having.

How do you look yourself in the mirror defending people who would do things like this?

Wait... The US annexed Iraq? And Iraq under US occupation became part of the US? Why didn't I hear about this...that's disgusting

And who is you's I'm not from the US

No, but they invaded Iraq around the UN and apparently if any other country does it, it's against international law. It doesn't matter where your from, that wasn't the point.

Russia has been vastly out outvoted in the UN who do not recognise the referendum, it is not legit the appropriate channel need to be taken, the voting was also clearly rigged... Should Crimea chose the same path under fair voting and UN supervisors that's legitimate

Screw the UN. They are the most overrated organisation in the world and even if it was to go through the UN, Russia would just Veto it so it really wouldn't matter.

I wonder if Russia would be willing to allow this to happen of Russia hasn't anything to worry about I'm sure Russia would agree to these terms

Give yourself a history lesson, the very same movement that murdered roughly 20,000,000 Christians and the last tsar of Russia gave the Ukraine Crimea. I really couldn't care because the passing of Crimea to Ukraine was the work of Non-Russian's to begin with.

Please read over what you just wrote see if you can find any hypocrisy in it

So coming firmly back down to earth ...

Did Ukraine invade Iraq? And break international law?

No they didn't did they...

Let me remind you that we're talking about UKRAINE, which isn't Iraq which isn't the US... Let's not ignore Ukraine's pleads for help to the international community because the US is speaking out on the subject and standing up for them, the US isn't the EU or the UN or NATO who ALL also condemn Russia's actions along with many other country's world wide

I'm not sure if you're aware of it or not but it has already gone through the UN and the UN doesn't support the illegal Crimea referendum, the UN also asks for Russia to de escalate tensions in Ukraine, Yeah screw the UN, that fine of that's what Russia wants to do, Russia probably couldn't be any more isolated concerning it aggression in Ukraine and risks eventual sanctions from the world

Two links to threads by you, and that is it? Okay, that totally changes my opinion on your argument. -Sigh-

I also see where the democratic (not the party but the political system) majority of this site lie in their views, and seeing as how you have nobody on your side in this, no stars on your posts, and your continuous failure to provide legitimate sources for your claims, please, continue to solidify my view-points, by all means.

You also think the Ukrainians are Nazi Rothschild CIA

No, I do not. I said it was their government that were ultranationalist in nature, and I provided proof to back up my claims with over 20 different sourced links and excerpts from external content across FIVE POSTS, something you probably can't relate to and are probably whitewashing for that exact reason.

PART I
PART II
PART III
PART IV
PART V

When are people going to learn to not ignore or even factor in things just because they don't agree with them, and that...yeah, it actually is okay to change your opinion based on new information?

I feel like you're so unbelievably stubborn you're not going to change your opinion no matter how many sourced facts I throw at you... prove me wrong. I dare you.

Umm, do a history lesson.. I have and can argue with you all day if you want. Crimea voted to go back to Russia and that is where it should end. I really couldn't care if the international community want to cry over it... They didn't cry when Assad handed them a list of terrorist organisations operating in Syria, instead they turned their back and look at the genocide that has come afterwards. F### the UN and their cronies. Double Minded a/holes.

Probably because the only people who seem to care is Your little organised gang of disinformation minions, I've never really noticed the star function mainly because I don't care, but I couldn't help notice you don't have a very good star to post ratio?

Russia has been caught out lying through its teeth it's not my problem you have chosen to once again ignore it and come up with only theory's to disprove it

Even when you said NATOs photos was faked NATO disproved you yet again

You're persistent but it won't matter in the end, justice will be served and Russia will limp away licking its wounds once more

Anyway back on topic

One Ukrainian state security officer has been killed and five others wounded in an "anti-terrorist" operation on Sunday against pro-Russian separatist militants in a city in the east

www.theguardian.com...

Hopefully the Russian backed terrorist and tourist party's in other towns near the Russian boarders are also coming to a premature end today, well done to Ukraine's security forces for regaining control, hopefully now the streets will get back to normal and people will feel safe enough to come out again onto the streets to show there true unity without being beaten by violent thugs

it was the US that started this by supporting an illegal coup to remove a legally, democratically elected leader in Ukraine in the first place.

Yes, that's true.

Had the US not spent $5 billion of your tax dollars supporting these ultra nationalist fascists....none of this would be happening right now.

Wrong. The present international crisis is due to Russia breaching international law by invading another sovereign country and annexing part thereof. Try and stick to the facts.

Were a million + dead innocent people in the middle east over the last 12 years not enough to satisfy their bloodlust??? More than 5 MILLION homeless....4 countries destroyed??

America bad = Russia good? Don't think so.

I agree wholeheartedly about Iraq - a completely indefensible invasion and destruction of a sovereign nation.

I'm not here to defend America's foreign policy record (as you fondly imagine).

You're like all posters who defend Russia in these threads.

"America done some bad # man, so we can forgive Russia for a lesser crime."

Straw man.

No it isn't

The current Ukrainian president and government were approved by an overwhelming majority in the Ukrainian parliament (371 votes out of 417 registered) on 27 February 2014, including members of the Party of Regions.

That parliament was elected on 28 October 2012. The Russian Foreign Ministry at the time declared that the elections were held “peacefully, without any excesses and in line with generally-accepted standards” and “confirmed Ukraine’s commitment to democracy and the rule of law.”

So the parliament which Russia called legitimate then can hardly be called illegitimate now

Nothing illegal, coup, or nazis about it, only Russian propaganda which keeps getting shot down in flames

It's about time Russia just accepted Ukraine's wishes and let them decide there own future without aggression or interference

Russia is acting like a master over a slave

I think he was referring to Yanukovich who was, of course, pro-Russian.

As things stand right now, trying to apportion fault or blame is irrelevant, the unfolding crisis in Eastern Ukraine is what should be on the mind of those taking an interest in the events there.

Kiev is about to launch anti-terrorist operations against those occupying the buildings, if they are really Russian Special Forc3es then it could be quite a battle, and one has to wonder, is Putin about to sacrifice those troops, or is he going to mobilise more troops from those stationed on the borders.

If he does, everyone will have their own questions answered, and things get pretty dramatic very fast.

I think it irks a lot of people when the pot is calling the kettle black and paying the stove to char it further using fuel paid by the people without their permission.

Ok...Let's say Russia helps fund Canadians and Mexicans to revolt against and overthrow their own officially-elected governments with potential of these nations becoming more pro Russian than US. Do you think the US should sit idly by, watch and do nothing? Seriously....

No, I would expect them to do something; perhaps not invade though.

I think the West has set a terrible precedent with Iraq.

Now, any invasion of another country will barely raise an eyebrow.
