I've been reading many Patriotic quotes in light of Memorial day being upon us. Mostly so I can be fresh when I explain to my lil bro the finer details our schools so lack in teaching. Not that I don't constantly read from our Foundeing Fathers historical trail daily. So I'm listing on this thread some of the quotes I have found, enjoy.

This hand, to tyrants ever sworn the foe,
For Freedom only deals the deadly blow;
Then sheathes in calm repose the vengeful blade,
For gentle peace in Freedom's hallowed shade.
John Q. Adams

In the long history of the world, only a few generations have been granted the role of defending freedom in its hour of maximum danger. I do not shrink from this responsibility -- I welcome it.
John F. Kennedy

Where liberty is, there is my country.
Benjamin Franklin

The cost of liberty is less than the cost of repression.
WEB Dubois

Fear can only prevail when victims are ignorant of the facts.
Thomas Jefferson

Government has no right to control individual liberty, beyond what is necessary to the safety and well-being of society.
John C. Calhoun

Live free or die.
New Hampshire State Motto

Life without liberty is like a body without spirit.
Kahlil Gibran

Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.
Confucius

Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do, and they will surprise you with their ingenuity.
Gen. George S. Patton

America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.
Abraham Lincoln

Fight and you may die. Run and you'll live, at least a while. And, dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance -- just one chance -- to come back here and tell our enemies, that they may take our lives, but they'll never take our freedom!
William Wallace - Braveheart

Government is not reason. Government is not eloquence. It is force. And, like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.
George Washington
