Its not a battery, transmitter is the one which will be charged before use not the other part.

It is a medical thingy.. you can use it 6 days and then change a new one. Its not mandatory but makes life easier.

Continuous glucose monitoring system, that was a sensor and transmitter ( which sends the data to insulin pump in every 5 minutes ) it alerts when bloodglucose is low or high so you can take action in time.

It's hand blown. The glass is about an 1/8th of an inch thick and looks old.
