I'm sorry that you see acknowledging the reality of what as happening in the financial world as "doom porn"...however that does not change the fact that everything I've posted is FACTUALLY CORRECT. Ignore it if you want...

This isn't the movies, the previous post is correct, you simply do not put an army post out for show.

Incorrect. The US deploys troops all the time as a "show of force" without actually intending to get involved in a military conflict...it's called political theatre my misguided friend.

Here are the Top 7 Genetically Modified Crops:

1. Corn: Corn is the No. 1 crop grown in the U.S. and nearly all of it -- 88 percent -- is genetically modified. In addition to being added to innumerable processed foods, genetically modified corn is a staple of animal feed.

2. Soy: 93 percent of soy is genetically modified. Soy is a staple of processed foods under various names including hydrogenated oils, lecithin, emulsifiers, tocopherol (a vitamin E supplement) and proteins.

3. Cottonseed: According to the USDA, 94 percent of cotton grown in the U.S. is genetically modified. Cottonseeds are culled from cotton, and then used for vegetable oil, margarine or shortening production, or frying foods, such as potato chips.

4. Alfalfa: Farmers feed alfalfa to dairy cows, the source of milk, butter, yogurt, meat and so much more. Alfalfa is the fourth largest crop grown in the U.S., behind corn, soybeans, and wheat (though there is no genetically engineered wheat on the market).

5. Papaya: 75 percent of the Hawaiian papaya crop is genetically modified to withstand the papaya ringspot virus.

6. Canola: About 90 percent of the U.S. canola crop is genetically modified. Canola oil is used in cooking, as well as biofuels. In North Dakota, genetically modified canola has been found growing far from any planted fields, raising questions about what will happen when "escaped" GE canola competes with wild plants.

7. Sugar Beets: More than half -- 54 percent -- of sugar sold in America comes from sugar beets. Genetically modified sugar beets account for 90 percent of the crop; however, that percentage is expected to increase after a USDA's decision last year gave the green light to sugar beet planting before an environmental impact statement was completed.

China and Russia are in far better financial shape to weather that storm. They are producers with a very low debt load in the case of Russia...and of couse China has the largest reserves on EARTH. The US, however is the largest consumer with the largest debt load on earth and shrinking production. 30% of US GDP is in FINANCIAL services.

Guess who would come out of this scenario with their economies in tact?...hint...not the US.

Sure I am...I'm a Canadian...we are the US's largest trading partner...a collapse in the US economy would hurt my country deeply. I have a significant amount of money invested in US businesses and the stock market.

I don't WANT to see it decline at all. I cannot ignore the fact that IT IS IN DECLINE. To do so would be stupid....and so I prepare as best I can, and try to help others see what's happening as well.

What I want is irrelevant....I cannot to afford to stick my head in the sand and pretend it isn't happening...because it is.

I don't hate your country...on the contrary...I used to love it. Now I feel sorry for the US and her people...to see how low you have fallen.

IF the US falls, it will Shake the global foundations of this planet, NO, none of this, "Well china an russia will feel some of it....", NO, they WILL FEEL IT and burn along with us.

The Romans couldn't see a time when they wouldn't be the most powerful nation on the planet either...which only hastened their demise. You do realize that the US only represents 2% of the world's population? The world will continue....I doubt that the US would be able to ever rise to a superpower ever again.

Empires rise and fall....the US is not immune to this.

Truth is, its not going to be China or Russia that rises, but a new nation, birthed here, in the US.
