that we use to have here. Anyway we could get that back, please?

I get applause and warning, usually more warnings. Being someone that will not take an insult without tossing it right back puts me in that position.

I could care less about the stars, flags or applause. Until I can spend them on something they are worthless IMO.

Some people try to do their utmost for creating a good thread or reply but for writer skills, mastery of the english language or putting thoughts into words reasons are not considered of the 'applause standard'. It is difficult for the moderators to know if these people deserve an applause. In some cases they should have been rewarded an applause but because of ignorance such people will never receive a well deserved applause. As a matter of fact I should deserve an applause for these excellent choice of words and ultra deep thinking...hahahha..

I have 77, the do still give them out i got one just a few days ago.

I do agree with you though OP, its not all about stars, flags and in this case applause's but a little bit of recognition form time to time is nice

There have been some where I got U2Us from the Mods regretting their decision.

And if I could, I'd give you 100 right now.

why should anyone think it is good that others know how many times you got the clap.

I dont care much about any stars of flags either. Im not here for that. Unless they are twinkling over my head or waving in front of my house.....

Personally I would like to see a free t shirt or coffee mug, lanyard etc handed out or exchanged for with your stars/flags. As cheap as those items are to make nowdays and considering everything here is user generated and profitable, hey why not? Pay a little back to the members who make you the $$$.

(P.S.) If this idea takes off I am a size lg in preshrunk, and black is the color of choice.... LOL

I have often thought that as well.

But more for the members who have say 2000 plus flags.

It would be nice if ATS could introduce some new system that actually recognized good members that are solid and contributing members other than WATS (really don't see the point in that anymore)

One thing is for sure: Applause is probably the best indication that a "member" is not a bot (sock; what have you).
