Kenai Alaska, UFO spotted headed towards volcano MT. Redoubt

Earlier this morning the wife and I were observing a jet high in the sky laying out a huge contrail.

I was betting her that the sky would be cloudy by the end of the day because it was a chemtrail! (it's still beautiful outside so I may have been wrong

But there is no denying what we saw.

We were standing in the kitchen and suddenly into our view appeared the object. It was headed in the opposite direction of the airplane towards mt. Redoubt, yet slightly to the left from our point of view.

At this point I went out onto the back deck and just watched at this thing until I couldn't anymore.

It was oval/oblong in shape and very bright/plain white in color.

It was completely absent of wings and seemed totally silent. The thing just hovered in a fixed position,'moving at a consistent speed until out of sight.

This is the fourth ufo I've seen in this town but, it's the first daytime UFO I have ever seen.

Has anyone witnessed anything similar? A completely white, oval shaped UFO?

Interesting....I wonder what it was. How big was this thing, could it have been some sort of drone? Did it move very fast?

Well, contrary to popular belief not everyone has a camera readily available.

I own a crappy wall mart phone with a cracked screen and am currently typing from an iPad #1, which lacks a camera.

My wife and I both actually own iPhone 4s's , but they have long been deactivated and only serve as iPods now.

It sucks, I wish I could afford a sick phone. I Thought of telling my wife to go grab her phone, but even if we did film this thing it would have barely shown up as a small white dot.

It was definitely lower than the airplane, I guess, about the height a small personal aircraft would be.

As for size, It seemed about the size of a small 2-4 person airplane.

The thought that it may be a drone immediately crossed my mind.

All I know is that it was weird and unexplainable.

I work at an appliance/electronic store. We are the only provider of 4K right now (in this town). We are selling the last of the VT60s (best Plasma in the world) We have some amazing cameras for sale at cost right now. ($400 retail, waterproof, shockproof, smart capable, I'll post the model numbers tomorrow when I'm at work)

(Btw: chile just got another 6.4 according to my quake feed app)

Still rent/food/gas/take the priority.

And when I'm witnessing a UFO adrenaline is running and I am afraid to run and grab a camera because the thing may be gone when I come back.

While i hear what your saying, if i had seen just one UFO in my life i would have a camera handy, you claim to have seen 4, that tells me that you really should have one handy.

But hey, its up to you, i cant tell you what to do.

The iphone should still take pictures even if it's not on the network no?

I have seen four.

The first I one I did film with my iPhone and it just Showed up as an amber colored pixel within a pitch black background.

It was the worst video ever, but from my eyes I saw an amber/orange colored orb gliding through the night sky.

The iPhone couldn't capture it.

The 2nd, I was driving to work in the morning. No phone but my wall mart special, and I'm lucky I didn't go into the ditch as it was. (middle of a strange Alaskan winter)

The 3rd was around midnight and the only nearby electronic devices were the wall mart special, and iPad #1

I've tried once and the quality of the video rendered it useless

What I meant is that It moved at a consistent speed in a fixed pose.

No left to right or up or down movement.

And you dont think its prudent to have a camera on hand after those experiences?

That by its self is crazy, your stories are only stories until you have others to support you, you have seen 4, FOUR and you dont think you should have somthing better than an iphone to hand?

I'm here in Kenai too, and I can see the entire area from my front porch on the bluff...

Nope, didn't see anything.

Haven't heard anything from the friends on pads in Cook Inlet, or friends at the port in Nikiski. Sounds exciting Shred!

Can anyone else verify? I see the raptors flying in pairs all the time ovehead. Sometimes so fast they do not look like jets, defying as they fly here and there.

This happened within a sixty second period so you would have to be looking out towards Redoubt right then.

It was about 11 am this morning, there was a big jet really high in the sky laying out a fat contrail. (holy cow 7.4 in chile just now!) .......anyway, it was Heading opposite of the inlet. Then the thing appeared, heading towards redoubt.

It happened, I have zero interest in fabricating anything. I respect this website so I'm not going to post some hoax. What would be the point.

You know that's why I love it in Kasilof and Kenai, soooo dark and vast to stare at the inlet, mountains, and sky. I count a hand full of a moving lights throughtout a week here. Most planes, heli's, AKA shooting stars, and such. Nothing out of the ordinary.

I'm waiting for a USO to come out or shoot in the inlet. Or truck to act weird and account for lost time, hehe.

Hey Shred, now that I've been thinking about it. I have a few ideas as to what you may have seen that I too as you described have witnessed.

If the surface of any plane was to change course and tilt for a matter of 30-60 seconds and catch the sun and cause a glare for a moment only a few people from a certain perspective would catch it. There are more planes than you think that in one given day fly around Mt Redoubt from Anch and Kenai airport. You did say it was sunny right?

I have seen this glare from planes before an when a tilt is done, the plane almost dissapears.

I bet you saw a plane IMO. Nothing more, nothing less.
