I though it would be cool to name some games that should be made into movies. Feel free to include actors/actresses and staff to make the movie.

My first idea would be Starcraft. For the characters I would say Bruce Willis as Jim Raynor, Cameron Dias as Kerrigan, Rip Torn as Mengsk, and in the Brood War sequel I would have Ian McKellen as Admiral Dugalle. Then I would have Wesley Snipes as Samir Duran. I figure the Zerg and Protoss would be animatroic like in Aliens vs. Predators and to show huge armies of them I would use computer anime. For director I would choose George Lucas.

The second movie that I think should be made into a movie is Halo. I think the Covenant could be showed the same way as my Starcraft suggestion and Master Chief could be played by any stuntman. Halo would be easy to act but it would take a lot of special effects. I think the movie would be similar to Starship Troopers in a way.

Thats it for know. Feel free to post your own ideas, or make modifacations to pre-posted ideas.

Lemmings, with the Bush administration players in each part (they're good at blocking, digging holes, exploding, following each other over cliffs etc etc).

I would love tp see Starcraft as a movie. Most of your suggestions for actos are good but Id would not have Dias as Kerrigan. I would place Charlize Theron in that role and for Raynor, Bruce is a good choice but he really does"nt feel right for that role. Snipes is a great choice for Duran and so is Ian for Dugalle.

I would love to see a Halo movie, but it"d be ruined by too much CGI and they would just do poorly on the script.

Now this would be very hard to do but a Half-Life movie. I would cast Charlie Sheen as Gorden, but since there is very little dialogue in HL it"d be so hard to do. Other games I'd make into movies are...

Onimusha III
Knights of the Old Republic
Doom
Devil May Cry

Another actor I thought of for Wolverine would be Hugh Jackman as Jim Raynor in Starcraft, also I thought Bruce Willis might be better as General Duke.

For Halo I think that animatronics for close up and individual shots of the covenant might fix the CGI problem. I would probably model the effects off of the Star Wars movies. For the script it would be difficult. I would probably do the more shooting less talking aprouch and let the actions speak for themselves.

Quentin Tarentino (I know I didn't spell that right) would probably do good for games into movies like Onimusha III as director.

BTW has anybody heard if the Metroid movie rumors are true, I heard something about John Woo directing or producing it.

I always thought Resident Evil would make a good movie. I know, there are two moives out with the title Resident Evil, but they really have nothing to do with the game except the title, names of things and the fact that there are zombies in them. Any Metal Gear Solid would make a good movie and any Grand Theft Auto would rock as well.

Yeah they should make Resident Evil movies that are more like the game. If you're in need of GTA as a movie try watching Miami Vice, it has similarities so it might pull you through until they make a GTA movie.

RE couldve been so much better, imo it really failed misserably in capturing the atmosphere of the game. final fantasy VI has the greatest story ever!!! would make an excellent movie.

How about a Final Fantasy movie were the production company doesn't go belly up shortly after release?

Historically speaking Movies based on Video Games have sucked major ass. So as far as Im concerned leave Video Games alone.

It is in pre-production so really anything could happen at this point.

LOL That was funny.

Prince of Persia would make a great movie.

What about that really old Sierra PC game 'Rise of the Dragon'? It could be a mix between Blade Runner and the first 20 minutes of The Matrix.

I have two suggestions for movies...

The first one and THE MOST OBVIOUS one is Leisure Suit Larry. Dig up Tom Hanks to play a "former" 40 year-old computer programmer/virgin. Thrill at his failures in trying to get some action.

The other one is good if you are looking for a movie to string out into a trilogy. Final Fantasy VI would be a great movie to "trilogilyze". You could start at the true beginning of the game and go until you fend off Narshe from Kefka. The next flick would follow Terra from her freak out moment until the End of the world. And the last would just go to the end of the game. I can only think of one problem though, I can't think of any actor/actresses who could play these roles.

That's odd; I was thinking the very same thing the last couple of days, however, this movie in my mind stared me

If they could get it right on TV for once, I'd say Sonic Adventure one and two.

Maybe Empire Earth, if they followed the Russian campaign.

Pretty much any C&C game would make a good movie, especially Generals.
