IAM seems so direct and integrative that there is a intuition in us that tells us: maybe i will not die. Maybe i was not coming into existence with birth. Maybe IWAS before that.

IAM seems so direct and integrative that there is a intuition in us that tells us: maybe i will not die. Maybe i was not coming into existence with birth. Maybe IWAS before that.
This thought is very much at the heart of what I was trying to convey.
But the language always fails me, or I simply fail the language...
Imagine this vast universe, and all of its possibilities for life. Billions of
galaxies and trillions of stars...more unique solar systems surround us than
there are grains of sand on all the beaches of the world...many times over.
I believe it is naive to think that we are the singular instance of life amidst
all this possibility. But even if it were, how strange it is that I find myself
where I am, and when I am--sequestered in this body that houses my
awareness.
And why should I even have this awareness? What causes it? Seems to me to
be a scientifically valid question to ask. But when science asks this question
they seem to look only at the rudiments involved--like others in this thread
have done--the sperm and the egg, or to render it even further to carbon
atoms and molecules and protein strands of DNA.
The thing is, I understand those concepts. I understand that I am really
nothing more than a cooperating conglomeration of trillions of cells. That
all of the people, and all of the life around me is all made up of the very same
conglomeration of perfectly placed bits of stardust.
But it still doesn't answer the question of my singular consciousness.
Or the why here? Or why now? aspect...
I could have sprung into existence at anytime in history--a hundred thousand
years in the past or a hundred thousand years in the future. Or perhaps
as a completely different life form on another planet somewhere in the past
or future.
Or I simply could not have ever existed....
So I look at it this way and render it down to two possibilities.
Either there was an (as yet) unrealized blueprint for me floating around
in the cosmos before I came into being. This blueprint detailed every
nuance of what it took to construct me in just such a way, that when chance
allowed, DNA took over and constructed this unique mash-up of life,
that could house only one conscious entity...and that entity is me.
OR
I, (my consciousness, my spirit, my soul, my essence--or however you
wish to describe it--whether keeping within the confines of
science, or expanding into some unknown realm) have always existed,
but as yet, was unaware.
I feel I could continue on forever without actually conveying any understanding.
I realize life is a riddle without an answer, and for some it's just too complex
a problem to be tackling when they have so little time to simply just experience
the life they have discovered themselves in.
For some it is easier to attach themselves to some pre-existing dogma, or
philosophy, and render the question moot, freeing up lots of time to
just access and enjoy the life they have...
But for me, I just can't quit asking...even when I know there is no
answer available.
No the reason we dont advance is because of people who ridicule others for trying other and new approaches..
Its not about that you believe existence of an individual begins with birth..Everyone knows that...
We all have scroll prepared by God before we were conceived in our mother’s womb. It’s important we discover what is written on it so we can walk in it and fulfill our Testimony; for it is on this that we will be judged and rewarded. At the end of this life Jesus will compare what we have done with what we should have done with our lives. We have a lifetime to discover what is on our scroll and work it out and achieve it.
Your Scroll and Testimony \\\\\\\\ The Testimony of Your Scroll MP3
You ought to read the book of Ecclesiastes. It is in the Bible. I don't know your belief system, but don't let that deter you. It is considered by some the most perfect writing on "the meaning of life". I think at the very least you will find it interesting. Where are we now?
"Ian explains how each person receives their scroll out of heaven at the time of conception."
The Testimony of Your Scroll
When we are walking on the path that God has prepared for us, when we are walking in our destiny, then we know God is with us. And we need to know what is our destiny, what is written on our scroll: and if we do not know, then we can ask God to show us.
Understanding The Times
God is Love. That is His very nature. It was what caused Him to create the universe and to create every one of us. And Love wants the best; God wants the best for us, for each of us. He knows what the best is for each of us, that best is already written on a scroll, if you read Psalm 139 it says that He knew you before you were even born. Already on that scroll in heaven your whole life is set out, His will for your life, and He wants to reveal it to you. He wants you to know the best. Truth
God wants to reveal all that you need for your life and destiny. God wants to disclose what is to come for us as individuals, for our life, for our destiny in God; he wants to reveal the things he has already prepared for us before the foundation of the world. As that scripture tells us, the Holy Spirit came to reveal to us those things that are to come.
Now the choice is, are you listening to Him? Have you seen your future destiny? If you have seen it, you can have it, that’s how it works. In fact you have to see it in order to have it, and you cannot have it unless you have seen it. ‘Faith is the substance of things hoped for’, that is to say, the things you have seen in the spirit. In the realm of the spirit, God wants to show all of us the things that are our destiny. He wants to show us what was written on our scroll in heaven before we were even thought of in a worldly sense.
