I can't comment much on the planform. I will say that the people that have seen it have all said it's amazing.

Yeah pretty much. They're playing the lobby game.

It's just interesting to me that NG's been flaunting their design left and right, to the point that it might as well be in the "gray" world now, while there's been next to nothing leaked about where L-M/Boeing are going aside from that old NGB "Quartz with a cockpit" design and their supersonic long-range strike concepts.

Anyone that follows these programs knows they lost already, so what do they have to lose? A competition? Heh.

It couldn't be this "stubby Quartz with a cockpit" could it?
this guy

Either way, the next 40 years will be a lean, lean time for N-G, I wonder who their potential merger partner will be haha...

They may not have much left in the attack realm (other than the rumored 117 replacement), but it seems their ISR portfolio isn't doing too bad.

That link doesn't work. It goes to a 403 Forbidden page.

From what I've heard, if a UAV program is bought NG will be involved.

You're not missing much, it was just a corporate render of a Lockheed NGB concept that looked like their Quartz-derived design with stubbier wings from Tyler's old site.

Didn't a wise man once say "A [defense contractor] cannot survive on [a half-dozen RQ-180 airframes] alone"...

I'm hoping I'll encounter it before rollout, but I'm planning to be there for it to her pictures.

No, but something tells me LM will get a good long look for the 6th gen competition after the problems the -22 and -35 have had.

sooooo....in regards to the roll out, you're saying your truck cab isn't big enough for one more passenger? Even a short one that's like 5'4"? You make Bass sad.... thats cool. I look forward to the pics when they come out. Any chance the public will be allowed to attend the roll out or is that not how it works and it's only press with credentials and a select list?

"shocked if it'll ever go gray" with an obviously multi-engined spanloader of decent size, that you say is an incredibly cool aircraft??

It makes me wonder if any of those concepts for fan-assisted triangular stealth tactical VTOL/VSTOL transports ever went anywhere...

IIRC the B-2 was fairly public. It was pretty quietly announced, but there were some public types there.

I concur regarding wichita. Too awesome and critical to let on. And a great idea.

In regards to the LRS-B roll out. I remember the B2 was all over the news. I'm hoping I get to see some pics of it when they do announce her. Have fun if you do get to go. I'll see you there. I'll be the guy security's man handling out of the hangar. I'll start shouting about space aliens so you know it's me. maybe I'll sneak in like in that rambo movie where he grabs the underside of the truck as it goes over and hitch a ride onto the facility. what route will you be taking to the roll out? be specific please. Like estimated times you will be traveling down certain lengths of highway and what color and make your truck is. I need to know when to lie down in the road in waiting.

We won't be taking the truck, so we'll squish you like a bug.

So uhhh....about your trunk capacity and does it have an internal hatch release?

Ok, Ok, I'll stop with the begging. But damn know that that day several people will be envying you here at ATS. and probably glued to the screen hitting refresh every two seconds going..."come on!! he's been there for a whole five minutes!!! why hasn't he uploaded the pictures yet!!!"

Oh that's a guarantee that will be happening but patience has paid off remarkably well on this forum. Hey have you been watching LMT in the stock market? Raytheon is looking good as well. Boeing is meh but NG is looking bad. Oh if I only bought stock in 2012-13.

I would hate to think you wouldn't, that is standard Zaphod SOP right there. Cant wait though, you've always come through and then some amazingly in the past as well as the other members lurking around this sub forum.
