Here it is folks! I was torn as to which forum to put this one. The joke forum came to mind, however when a politician is caught in such a bold face lie as this one, time to bring out the ammo!

Most of us should remember the posts when ole Harry called all of the Obamacare horror stories untrue and lies right? Well here he is saying he never said that!

Anyhow, Harry, either you are suffering from dementia OR you are a bold faced liar! Either way, time for you to step the hell down from your pedestal!

Breaking news: Politician lies.

Id say we'd need an "honesty" clause in the oath of office, but who am I kidding, like they give a crap about oaths.

You'd need hip waders to wade through his previous lies, to get to this one.

I bet a lot of politicians of his ilk, never thought the internet would be busting them so often. It's hard to rewrite history, when history is being recorded and shared by so many...

I can't wait until his final bubble bursts...

I think we need some extremely tough new laws made to punish politicians that purposely mislead their constituents. When did it become so accepted that politicians lie? Why are we setting the bar so low?

Perhaps if there were some extremely long prison sentences for things like this....there would be a better class of people attracted to politics....as it is...why not continue to lie to the people when there are pretty much ZERO consequences?

I personally think, it became acceptable for politicians to lie, when so many people benefited from their lies, and didn't care if what they were hearing were lies.

As long as they, the people, got something slapped in their palms, they didn't give a crap if it was based on lies.

The tipping point started in the mass buying of votes, with hand outs to those who wanted a free ride ticket in some form or another.

JMOHO...

Quick, write your congressmen, tell him to write a law that says if he lies to you he loses office, and have them all vote on the accountability ...

Oh wait, WE ARE THE ACCOUNTABILITY, the citizen populace of this nation, are supposed to be concerned and vigilant in their duty to elect these people.

WE failed to get them out of office every time they pull some crap, THAT is why the bar is so low.

I think the devil may be in the details.

IMO, when Harry Reid said that the horror stories being paid for by people like the Koch brothers and propagated by republicans being lies, he is talking about the misleading t.v. commercials being run by republican candidates who are currently running for office and/or things like the panels put together by republican news pundits like Hannity. Most of which have indeed, turned out to be false and/or misleading.

Now, he's saying that he never called any republican senators liars for the ObamaCare horror stories they brought to the floor of the senate. Two different things.

Technically, he may very well be telling the truth.

LOL....Did you mean vigilant....or was that a freudian slip?

Either way...I'm with ya.

As far as I am concerned they all lie!

The question I have for you is why are you trying to defend one whom was caught red handed?

When I hear the Koch brothers mentioned, I usually bring up the like of George Soros. You know the guy who is funding the current admin? Did Harry think that the people whom are paying attention weren't aware of ole George?

Political hacks of either party are just as dangerous or more so than the religious zealots that I see often made fun of by those whom worship a certain party.

I hate lies no matter whom they are coming from! Especially when it allows those in charge to continue to make our country worse than it already is!

Do you think they bathe in money and blood together too?

I believe Harry already made a statement that he would retire IFFFFFF the Dems, lost control of the senate. I will try to dig that tid bit up. Now with me saying that, "everyone please sit down" I at least have some respect for Pelosi for staying in after losing her throne! Sorry Nancy, but that is the only respect I have for you!

Edit:Ok, did some searching on what I "thought" I heard (read) about Harry retiring and this is the closest to the assumption(thought) I presented.

Multiple sources close to the Majority Leader, however, concede that though Reid has not said so officially, it seems that his time in the Senate is winding down. Reid is 72, the Democrats could lose the Senate either this cycle or maybe next and the Majority Leader has family considerations, as well.

We need a congressman to write a law get it passed;
Each election ballot should have a box (no confidence in candidate) to check next to each name. That's if we have any confidence to begin with...

Any candidate with more than .05% no confidence votes meets the end of their political career.

Another obvious example of the current "campaign at taxpayer expense" operations that politicians not up for election this year are engaging in.

Looks like the Democrats are in hot water and are squirming like pinworms in a jar in a microwave oven.

Harry is on a crusade to re-write history in his effort to save face.

Behind the scenes however, Harry is trembling because he is under investigation for corruption.

His family meanwhile prays for his very soul.

I just hope that the conclusion that is drawn from the realization that politicians can't be trusted is that they should therefore not have any power that it is possible to deny them. NOT that some other group of politicians will be more trustworthy or that some new system will manage to change human nature.

The problem is that I've read somewhere that he's reportedly grooming one of his sons (who are lobbyists, by the way) to take his place in the Senate.

Yea, I am aware of that too.......sigh!

Americans need to get rid of the idea that certain families have it in their blood to rule! But hell, look at the Bush and Clinton worshippers!?
