Well I'd be extremely surprised if Kanye had an interest in meteorology, but I suppose there's always a chance he's a secret weather nut!

The list of tropical storm names is decided in advance, so it was a pretty fair bet that there would be a hurricane Katrina that year. (Not every named system develops into a hurricane, of course). But the system itself was of course not even a ripple in the atmosphere when the song was released, let alone written. So nobody would be able to predict that Katrina would be severe, or where it would strike, of course.

Also, there's the rather obvious flaw that hurricanes don't have buttocks.

So, on balance I think he was just looking for a big-bottomed lady whose name rhymed with "Serena". As unlikely as that may sound

I think your looking too far in to this dude, you can find weird coded messages in alot of things if you use your imagination. And the august thing is a bit strange but thats about it,i think with this it just is what it is.
