After disrupting Zarqawi's base of operations in Fallujah with a military operation members of his insurgency are much more vulnerable to capture.

Iraqi and US forces are rumored to be on the heels of Zarqawi and it could be surmised that they indeed are getting close with the capture of Zarqawis number two man.

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - A lieutenant of al Qaeda ally Abu Musab al-Zarqawi has been captured in the northern city of Mosul, Iraq's minister of state for national security said on Thursday.

Kassim Daoud told a news conference that the militant -- identified only as Abu Said -- was captured two days ago.

U.S. troops have been fighting insurgents who stormed police stations and seized control of some neighborhoods in Mosul earlier this month

This reporter is hopeful that this capture is an indicator that Zarqawi's capture is also soon to follow. These terrorists have a lot of atrocities to answer for to the Iraqi people.

Just a question that pops into my head whenever people broadcast stuff like this...doesn't it harm the troops? I mean, if I was that aide on the run, and I was told that the US was hot my heels, I'd sure as hell reevaluate my strategy of hiding, and try something new, and THAT would slow down the US.

These days, this kind of news is always put on the air. Like with speculation that bin Laden is in Pakistan, right down to specific regions - wouldn't that impel him to move somwhere else?

In my opinion, it would better if the military would spread misinformation about failures and things so that the enemy thinks they're gaining an upper hand.

I know, we're supposed to have press freedoms, but censoring this kind of information infringes upon nothing, except maybe someone's ability to kill Americans.

Can anyone clarify things for me? Cause we seem to be a little too careless to be true...so maybe I have things wrong - I sure hope so.
