Just a question that pops into my head whenever people broadcast stuff like this...doesn't it harm the troops? I mean, if I was that aide on the run,
and I was told that the US was hot my heels, I'd sure as hell reevaluate my strategy of hiding, and try something new, and THAT would slow down the
US.
These days, this kind of news is always put on the air. Like with speculation that bin Laden is in Pakistan, right down to specific regions -
wouldn't that impel him to move somwhere else?
In my opinion, it would better if the military would spread misinformation about failures and things so that the enemy thinks they're gaining an
upper hand.
I know, we're supposed to have press freedoms, but censoring this kind of information infringes upon nothing, except maybe someone's ability to kill
Americans.
Can anyone clarify things for me? Cause we seem to be a little too careless to be true...so maybe I have things wrong - I sure hope so.
