Many of the members here know very well how bad the economy has
affected us under the roof of Randyvious. It's been a tuff row to hoe.
However I'm taking a gigantic leap of faith, I'm proud to say. I finally
have all my ducks in a row and will be leaving for Swift trucking school
on Sunday at nine twenty am pacific time. For me it's like starting a
brand new life. As an ex ironworker I'll be starting my new career in the
hole with a heavy debt to be paid. I don't know how else to say it but,
it pains me a great lot. I know I have a lot of time away from home and
family and friends coming. And that includes ATS. But love is a hard hard
thing sometimes isn't it.
Anyway I know many of you have seen me try before and fail. But that was
my old life. I hope you all will wish me luck one more time, as I go for a
new one. Even tho I go with God, there isn't one of you here that doesn't
mean enough to me to not ask for your best. I'll check in when possible.

I have always wanted to be a trucker and it is the one thing this countries economy cannot live without. Truckers are the blood flowing through the
asphalt veins of America.
Randy many of us are in this situation where we are getting older and are forced to reinvent ourselves.
It sucks hard and can really be defeating when doors wont open to us any longer.
If you found one that has opened, you have the opportunity to show the world that you aren't down forever.
You will work it hard and climb back up a stronger man and a crap ton wiser at that.
I wish you luck man, if anything, you will give the rest of us hope in our own struggles.
Brother, I know how it feels being on the outside looking in, it is frustrating to say the very least.
We all want to do well by our family and give them the world.
I guess I just wanted to say that I'm in your corner.
Much luck to you in your new endeavors Honey! Just remember to stay awake behind the wheel and beware of low bridges. We have a bridge in town that
big trucks seem to insist they can fit beneath and then get stuck. LOL
Trucking is not so bad. My husband has been driving a truck for 29 years and still enjoys it. I drove myself for 12 years until my two granddaughters
moved in with us. We do okay money wise, not getting rich but we own our home and the recession hasn't bothered his job. He has a route now, and is
home 3 days a week. We are reasonably happy with it and it does pay the bills.
