In this interview she says evidence indicates to her that Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 was likely downed by a newly unveiled U.S. Navy Laser Weapons System (LaWS).

"Unveiled" being the key word here.

Weapons of this type have been around and deployed for quite some time now.

Think Navy, but not conventional Navy.

I have no idea if this story has any validity, but if it did I highly doubt it was any ship or other terrestrial based weapon. Way too easy to spot, even in remote areas. And the Navy has far more "bases" than many people think...

And there are also a whole host of other suspects too.

It was getting quite crowded in "final frontier" land the last time I looked. I'm sure it's even more so now...
