Mystery of Big Bertha's ghost

The ghost of a six foot tall matron who roams the corridors of a university campus is being made the subject of a new book.

The spectre of Bertha Ramsey is said to be a familiar sight to staff at the University of Wales College Newport's Caerleon campus since her death in 1962.

that's interesting that her death was relatively recent. most of the ghost sightings that are connected with an actual person (as opposed to sightings of unidentified spirits) involve someone who died 100+ years ago. I'm surprised more completly weird ghosts from more recent years haven't shown up on college campuses. on my campus alone there's been at least one death from drinking, one from drowning and one under unknown circumstances (he was found dead in the freezer of an unused snack bar in the basement of a dorm!), and that's only since I began there in 1999.
