My voice within is your voice within and your voice within is my voice within.

What I figured out is I identified myself with this voice within. I thought it to be me. But I figured out it is not me.
It is higher than me. It is true, it are not my thoughts, it is something elses ideas. I can only listen to them and follow the advice. It's a voice of advice. I don't know if I am right but the voice becomes more angry when you identify yourself with it, yet it is strange. Maybe I did not identify myself with it. Though I am in unity with this voice.

It's fun figuring out this voice.

I am just a body, I have my own will and I fill my days with doing my will. Maybe this voice wants me to submit myself to it. Maybe the voice became angry because I was going against it's will. Or am I just making things up when I say this voice can become angry?

Maybe the hearts of others I carried do not believe in this voice and these angry voices are the voices of these people trying to rid themselves of this voice.. of freedom.

If the son will make you free, you will be free indeed. Maybe it's my call for freedom!

Well, it was just moments ago when I was on the toilet I realised, this voice, it is not me!

I think we all have an inside voice, but different people call it different things. I guess we all have to figure out who or what it is that speaks to us.

We ALL do our very best thinking on the toilet, don't we? I imagine something as great as the George Foreman grill was indeed dreamed up while someone was sitting on the toilet contemplating the intricacies of the universe.

There is a war for our minds going on.

You are right.. some thoughts are indeed planted.. for eg. You could be talking to a sweet old lady and a voice in your head says.. Go on..just punch her in the face!

You literally give yourself a shake as the thought was so out of place and character.

Make sure you listen to the right voices.

Keep that same sentiment and then ponder what a deaf person senses.

Would they "see" themselves pushing the old lady as their "inner-voice"?

Creepy right?

I have an "internal messenger", as well, but never has it gotten angry. It doesn't seem to be emotional. It tells of how things are, pure and simple. It fill in the blanks when I ask about them. I do not really identify with it as my "self"... as in, my personality, my individuality- but more as a universal force, that is like....GPS.... or Google.

It will alert me to elements I did not specifically request about, but always in line with deeper goals or motivations that I hold already- like if I have set my parameters such that "survival of the physical form" is made a priority, it will alert me to threats of that in my environment. But it can be any priority- "a new job", "a friend"...it will alert me to opportunities around me as they arise. It is my ego, or individual personality, which choose the parameters and whether or not to listen and follow that voice.

The Son of God, was the Word, and we are the true temple. When we are inspired to follow our conscience and directions, more is given.

Have you ever tried asking it to give you a short taste of what it's like to be without it? Just the barest glimpse?

I have, and it's sort of scary.

I love this voice actually.

But I said I am a body, and I do my will every day. Maybe it turned my will into His. Sometimes it's not there, or at least, it doesn't speak, but I feel like, or I must believe, like unity_99 quoted, it is watching over me. It's leading me the way. It makes things clear to me. Is being enlightened having this voice within? Or does this voice enlighten more every day? I'm crazy and I love it.

You're one step closer, the only thing is that you disassociate yourself from the voice. It is you and you are it. It is not angry if you see it as your own, I see it as my own and it seems content with this fact.

The voice you hear is called the Word in the bible, and it is within everyone. The mind is the voice is the Word is the Son is you.

It may be hard to accept, but it is true.

John 14
20 On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.

Jesus is within all of us and we are him. He is the voice, meaning so are we.

You are only partly a body, you are the Spirit within a body. Materialism is thinking the body is all you are, Jesus was against materialism.

I am the body within a spirit. It was possible for me to have existed without a spirit. I am not a spirit.

I think he's too busy living underneath a bridge and charging those who cross to care about Jesus, if you catch my drift.

You are my friend. Your body does not see just as a rock does not see. The Spirit within you is what sees the body, your body is just the vessel needed for the Spirit to have awareness and vision. You are that Spirit housed within the body you see. You are an image of light that perceives and contains the material world around you, including the body you inhabit.

John 8
12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

The image you see is the light of the world because it lights up the world around you. Without it, there would be darkness and blindness. Follow the image and you will never walk in darkness but will be filled with the light of life. You have life, and the light you see confirms that.

Colossians 1
15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

The Son is the image of light that you see. What do you know other than what you see, which is the light of the world?

See, this suddenly popped up.

For your entertainment.

The Resurrection Body

35 But someone will ask, “How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come?” 36 How foolish! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. 37 When you sow, you do not plant the body that will be, but just a seed, perhaps of wheat or of something else. 38 But God gives it a body as he has determined, and to each kind of seed he gives its own body. 39 Not all flesh is the same: People have one kind of flesh, animals have another, birds another and fish another. 40 There are also heavenly bodies and there are earthly bodies; but the splendor of the heavenly bodies is one kind, and the splendor of the earthly bodies is another. 41 The sun has one kind of splendor, the moon another and the stars another; and star differs from star in splendor.

42 So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; 43 it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; 44 it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.

If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. 45 So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being”[f]; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit. 46 The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual. 47 The first man was of the dust of the earth; the second man is of heaven. 48 As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven. 49 And just as we have borne the image of the earthly man, so shall we[g] bear the image of the heavenly man.

50 I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”[h]

55
“Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?”

56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Yeah, he has potential but religious dogma still has a hold of him. If he can break free from that hold then he could go places and learn exciting new things. I have faith that he can do it, he seems to have a fairly open mind.
