I'm not too sure what's going on here.

I just find it strange that they hear the pings right when the battery is about to die. If they wanted to cover-up something, this would be the right time to say they heard pings. So they can say there is evidence of a crash (the pings) without any physical evidence to back it up.

I agree completely I posted a few days ago about carrot dangling then the whole sorry the batteries died we can no longer detect that's the end of that.

It is absolutely baffling that not one shred of debris has been located with the amount of planes and ships searching.

This may be a stupid pointless question, but is there anyway we can find a shipping forecast on the date of when the plane went missing. I'd like to know how's many commercial boats there were in and around the search area. The reason being if there were any ships in that area would they of not found any wreckage or seen anything

Don't flame me for asking the idea just came to my head

i would think that if a 777 came down 300 hundred too 400 hundred miles,,
off of the Coast of Cape Breton,,,

We would have found it.

Kind of like the survivors of the Titanic,,

I guess Malay/Indo/Vietnam waters have changed since,, well Vietnam.

ps any military plane ever recovered in that area of the World,,since Vietnam?

cause they make sound like its the "Far Side of the Moon"

It is tantalising. However who are "they"?

The Australian government, The US Government, The Chinese Government, the Malaysians? What possible standard commercial aircraft could led them together to work on a cover up, when only the Australians and The US work as allies (limited also).
China’s government has grown increasingly restless regarding Malaysia’s response to the crisis. So much so look at their government released media statement that reads as a veiled thread to the Malay.
“withholding information from the public can be dangerous, even lethal. Silence, sometimes, can kill."
Malaysia is also China’s largest trading partner in their own region with bilateral trade worth $106 billion in 2013. Would the Americans and the Australians want to encourage that trade agreement or forge it with China themselves?

The concept that "THEY" have have conspired to throw millions in resources and money between them to fake a search I can't see within this geo-political landscape.

This was predicted weeks ago. Its all a charade!
In order to claim BB and wreckage cannot be found then the worst possible location must be selected as the so called crash site.
If you want a plane to dissappear you choose the worst location in the IO!
Hoodwinking of the master kind!!
No wreckage, no bodies, no BB, worst possible crash location, passenger list, etc etc = ???????????????

There was a lady in the UK a couple of weeks ago who thought she spotted an intact plane on tomnod. It was in the news and indeed looked exactly like a plane.

Are you referring to the image that was in the water and it looked partially submerged? I remember that one. I don't think any ships or aircraft ever went to check it out because it didn't fit into their idiotic Immarsat search area. It probably was MH370. I think it was in Mallaca Strait.

Stupid question: would a solar flare interfere with the the planes instruments or cellphones? There was a few solar flares around that time. Has been lately

Hello, I've been a silent lurker on ATS. I came across a news article and wondered if this was brought into light. Not sure it it's true or not.

Russian Media:

April 1, 2014 — (TRN) — The Russian media outlet MK.ru is reporting today that Malaysia Airlines flight MH-370 made a hard landing on a rural road southeast of Kandahar, Afghanistan, near the Pakistan Border. According to the report, the passengers and crew are alive.

While the Google translation from the original Russian language is not precise, the MK story says that the Pilots of Flight MH370 did not steal the plane; it was hijacked by unknown persons. This information came from a confidential source inside the Russian security services.

Flight MH370 went missing on March 8 with 227 passengers and 12 crew on board.

The MK story claims that the passengers and crew have been “captured” and that the airplane is on a rural road, southeast of Kandahar, Afghanistan, with a broken wing from a hard landing. The plane is said to be located very near the border of Pakistan. The story even contains a map as follows:

The story goes on to report that all the passengers are alive; that they’ve been divided into seven groups living hand-to-mouth in mud huts nearby.

The story also says that “20 Asian Professionals were captured” and bluntly accuses that the hijacking was done “presumably by the Americans” on “someone’s order.”

Member of the Flight Safety Foundation Sergey Melnichenko, pointed out that on “March 21 Thailand, India and Pakistan said that the aircraft was not tracked by air defenses; not that it did not fly over their countries, just that it was not tracked.
This past Sunday, the head of the Intelligence Committee of the U.S. Senate Diane Feinstein, responding to a question from CNN on the probability of a terrorist component in the case of the missing plane, said “At the moment nothing has been found”.

The story goes on to point out that there are two areas in Afghanistan controlled by the Taliban, with two air corridors where MH370 could fly after disappearing from radar. Rather than admit this, Malaysian authorities are merely relying on the Afghan and Pakistan governments saying military radar never tracked the plane.

The story goes on to say that trust may be misplaced since the border area between Pakistan and Afghanistan is semi-abandoned.

See this thread

I posted this the day it broke. It was deemed a hoax but was never given any attention why. It may have been an April fools joke or maybe not. Take a moment and read through. We can discuss further.

What I find fascinating.. its the biggest mystery of this generation..yet people are bored of it..and any new information is not even looked at by most.

If that's not mind control I don't know what is.

It could be a joke but on a Russian newspaper article? I'm not sure about that. A lot has been said and dismissed. Like the first news from China that the plane landed safely in Nanming, then the part where Vietnam's ground control contacted the Malaysian ground control to check why the plane is in their airspace or the claims from the oil rig worker who said he saw a plane going down and the front part was in flames, the residents in Maldives who said they saw a plane fly really low or those fishermen (?) (i don't remember correctly), said they saw a plane fly low and not in the normal direction planes fly by in that area. The "sightings" of debris by China and nothing to be found in that spot. It's like they're trying to hide something like a kindergartner. It's been a month and a day now. The only new thing I've read is this Russian news piece and Phillip Wood being a fake because he was part of the Boston bombing, as in he was an actor who "cried" at the scene.

Some of the initial search areas were near shipping lanes, but the latest search areas aren't near shipping lanes to my knowledge.

A solar flare can incapacitate satellite communications if it's strong enough, but the aircraft are still low enough to be largely shielded from solar flares. You do get a higher dose of radiation in a plane compared to on the ground solar flare or not, but consider that planes can be struck by lightning and not be affected because of the way they are shielded, and most solar flares would have a tiny effect on an aircraft in comparison to a direct strike by a large lightning bolt, which usually doesn't do much to the aircraft, though it scares everyone on board with the loud noise.

Yes it was April Fools day but this article was highly debated on another forum and somehow I don't really think it was a joke. You know there's a saying, "Behind every joke, there is an underlying truth." Maybe not every joke but atleast some have truth to it. This could be one and everyone's just dismissing it like the previous news claims which none of us know if true or not.

No way there would not be more leaked at this point.
