Any familiar with a Boeing 777 know which part would be "30m Wide & 22m Long"???

This seems overly large for even the large criteria of passenger planes!!!

The size of the object is 22.5 metres by 13 metres and not 22 metres by 30 metres.

I just read on skynews the latest development but I'm also wondering why they only just released the images?

I read an article on BBC that said the images were caught on sat the day after the plane went missing.

Yep, they even said that on Fox News, that the only possible dimensions that it could be, 74 x 34 feet, now, is possibly wing to wing, if even that.

They are giving out cautions. Not stating when China found these images on satellite.

Saying the largest shipping containers are smaller than this object, (personally, I have no idea) but saying it could be partially submerged, getting refractions of light, etc.

These images are in the southern Indian Ocean, so same place Australia has been searching. Perhaps allow for drift, currents.

Waiting for unfolding news, hoping the satellite images are recent, and not days old, again.

Thank you, that explains why Fox changed the dimensions on the newscast from the breaking news report. They didn't offer an explanation.

Malaysian officials broke the news, Chinese 22 meters long, 13 meters wide.

Slipped a note from Chinese, China will make an announcement in a couple of hours.

First of Australian planes just returning. No finds.

More ships and planes arriving to the area.

John Goglia former NTSB investigator, wing to wing, is larger than largest shipping container. That would be a large piece to float. Most large pieces would sink, not float. Showing same image as posted above again. Talking about finding recorder, hoping this is part of the plane, so the recorders may be close, but finding them takes getting within a few miles.

Possible cyclone is on the way. The new debris is VERY close to original Australian sighting. New sighting is very calm seas, not as much roughness in the sea. Comparison pics being shown.

With the storm coming, within 12 hours, will be dealing with bad weather.

US has spent 2 1/2 million dollars. Some people saying US should call off search.

Back on topic doesn't it seem that a crash would be impossible if this debris is wing-to-wing???

I'm still leaning towards the Plane being shot down!!!

Although I suppose an unstable attempt to land on the Water could be possible!!!

Not sure what to make of that pic. It is definitely clearer than other pics that have been obtained by sarellite, seas are definitely more calm in a side by side comparison. Whatever it is, that back section actually has something protruding up from the water. It gets very pixelated when zooming in on it. Moreso, I mean, than it already is. It's an unusual shape, but I know diddly about planes and plane parts!

I can say, with utmost certainty, it is NOT a pod of dolphins, however.

Those images on BBC though are of 3 objects and they all look pretty big, one definately looks like a plane. What came of those the if they are old images?

Not sure, they just said one was incoming, and I was typing/transcribing, so looking at my phone. I am sure we can try to locate a weather map, though, since the weather changes are due within 12 hours.

Sorry if this has been covered already (but I've not followed all of this thread) ... Could it be that hostage negotiations are being or have been conducted and that is why the MSM is being thrown incremental scraps? Keep them busy and not advertise the freedom fighters?

Just thinking a no-negotiation policy might have been enforced resulting in the deaths of all, and to cover this (make it less 'painful' for us to stomach) a crash site is being 'erected' at the other end of the 'arc'.

Has anyone conducted any research into the individuals on the passenger list? Was there anyone rich in 1st class... I will have a look myself later, but not at the desk for now
