Police Release Sketch of Possible Suspect in Serial Killings

LAFAYETTE, La. � Investigators in the Baton Rouge serial killer (search) case are checking three incidents last year in which a disarmingly attractive young black man either attacked or tried to attack women in St. Martin Parish.


"We think this is a significant development in this case," said Lafayette Parish (search) Sheriff Mike Neustrom.

The victims in the incidents, which occurred in June and July 2002, were not killed, and officials said no conclusive evidence links this man to the serial killer.
