Scientists are monitoring Mauna Loa very carefully for signs up eruption due to swelling on its flanks and increasing quakes.....

Seems reasonable.. and thanks for the heads up.. I'll add that to my 'check once every other day list' along with Rainer (which I personally think is at risk of doing something, soon)

Before someone starts preaching about end of the world...
Long lasting and often repeting eruptions are common for Hawaiian volcanoes and neither they are violent.

True, E_T.....I just think that they are a little nervous about this because Mauna Loa is doing things that they have never documented before....Should be interesting to watch!!
