I'm living a memory and can't get out of it. Every day I wake up to it.

What seems to have ached so much is the broken trust, or the inability to gain any.

I can understand that one...

What I have found is that an important part of trust is understanding and knowing. You can trust that an angry wild bear will attack you if you interfere with it. It is not fully the bears fault for ripping you to shreds as it is what bears do when confronted with nosy bush walkers.

Try to avoid having trust mixed up with high expectations that people will always be at there best. Get to know there addictions and what they value and it will put in a better place to know what you can expect out of them, what you can trust.

could be issue with cognition. CBT is attributed to PTSD but is not absolute.

If memories are repeating, it might indicate there is 'something' your brain is trying to remember in order to process that neurological pathway. Could you be specific with what the memory is that is repeating? u2u me if it is too personal to share publicly.

There is a great book that I read a while ago:
How I survived when my brain was trying to kill me

main issue in the book was that the 'memories, thoughts were in control' and the Author successfully changed the thought patterns and cognitive jams.

Ask this memory: "What is your message? What is the lesson lost on me, which has carved out a home in my memory, patiently awaiting my understanding. You haunt me because you have something important to teach me that I have not yet absorbed into My Knowing. I know you will relinquish your hold on me as soon as I grasp the true meaning of your message. Make your lesson known so I can move on!"
