And dont think Turkey wont get involved over this one because they will.
Oh they will for sure. They'll last 3 days.edit on 9-3-2014 by Hellas because: (no reason given)
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine’s press service has released an interesting video recorded by a Diamond DA42 light surveillance plane.
The unarmed four seat, twin engine, propeller-driven airplane was patrolling the border, keeping an eye on the numerous block-posts of Russian troops deployed along the Perekop Isthmus, in the northern part of Crimea, when it was fired upon.
Noteworthy, the Russians used what seems to be a green laser for either determine the range of the aircraft or blind the DA42′s onboard Wescam EO/IR camera.

Yes they probably would get involved, but 3 days, not to sure about that.
Turkey is part of NATO. A very powerful member I might add.

They didn't officially declare war, but Ukraine's president said them entering Crimea was like them declaring war.
The Russian cabinet gave Putin permission to use military force if need be to secure Crimea & Ukraine to protect their military assets and Russian speaking people.
During Friday talks with the speaker of the Crimean legislature Vladimir Konstantinov in Moscow the head of the Federation Council emphasized that Russia sought no confrontation with any party in the crisis and seeks cooperation with Ukraine, the European Union and United States. “We should abandon the language of threats and start building a mutual understanding despite the existing contradictions,” RIA Novosti news agency quoted Matvienko as saying.
While he denounced the Kiev authorities, Putin said Russia was not planning any imminent military action. “The use of troops is a last resort,” he said. “There is no necessity to do it at the moment, though that option is on the table.”
Any intervention would be purely humanitarian in nature, Putin said.
“If we take a decision to deploy troops then it will only be for the people’s protection,” he said. “Our militaries are brothers in arms, friends. I am sure that Ukrainian and Russian soldiers will be on the same side of the barricade.”

Let's not spread lies. There are NO Russian troops in Crimea or Ukraine, those are simply local defense forces protecting ethnic Russians...According to Putin and RT.

Yes and once the time window has passed you cannot edit the title of the thread. Another member came in here with the same sentiment and an argument ensued in which mods had to step in.
What you are saying has been established is all I'm saying.

Powerful as in what? In getting their asses kicked repeatedly by PKK guerrilla fighters?
Sorry for going OT

I have suggested previously in this thread that the title should be changed as it is misleading to the reader. As of this writing no-one has declared war on either Ukraine or Russia since the crisis started however, it is fair to say both countries have threatened military action against each other - crucially they haven't "declared" war.

When i quoted the Ukrainian news sites on the opening posts, the headlines said Russia declares war on Ukraine.
And this is the most wierd war ever. Ukrainian land has been occupied, yet no one killed. Russian army has infact occupied Ukraine. Lets not forget this is an invasion and an occupation.

What part of Ukraine has been "occupied"? Can you please clarify the area/areas in question for me?
