If ET was on ATS how could they show they are alien with text only communcation?

Think about this carefully. If an alien is a member of this site is there anyway using text that they could convince the board of that fact? The provider of the service they log in with will not show an interplanetary location as the source of the message. Their location entered to the site will look normal. No pictures, videos or audio allowed this is a text only alien Turing test.

Well ATSers are you up to it? What will you suggest them to communicate?

Well, unless an Australian comes to this country, he is not an alien here. What is an alien to you may not be a an alien to someone else.

I've been getting away with it for over a whole year!!

I think a mathematical formula that has yet to be solved on Earth would be a great start; other formulas for free energy or faster than light speed travel, discussions of metals and elements we don't have here and their properties which could be verified by future research, an encyclopedia galactica (bow to the movie 'Contact') with pictures and descriptions of life on other planets, their animals, plants, languages, civilization, everything.

At some point the information download would overwhelm what could conceivably be hoaxed and would amount to either the world's best work of science fiction, or proof.

Edited to say that I didn't see your not allowing pictures; but ATS has a way of posting both pictures and video; either way, I think enough of an information download could be accomplished simply by giving away scientific information we don't yet have access to.

They would tell us to not fear the dark ones. They would say that major changes are happening on the planet right now. They would tell us to keep being an inspiration to others around us. They would tell us that the dark ones cannot keep playing their game when the Earth becomes transformed. They would tell us that they are preparing a massive display of their ships in the sky but are waiting for the right time to do it. If they tell us an exact date and it doesn't happen, they will give us a good reason.

At least, this is how they usually communicate.

It'd be a simple matter of telling us something not already in the Human knowledgebase that would accredit them with knowledge outside of and beyond current ken, that can still be independently verified.

For instance; Millennium Prize problems

Giving us solution to P vs. NP, the Hodge Conjecture, any of these, or other unsolved problems in mathematics would give sufficient verifiable credibility as 'proof' of understanding of concepts currently outside of Human ken.

We don't need to be told how to raise our vibrations, open our third eyes, or how to meditate until our Om bleeds.
All of that can get got out of any bargain bin New Age trash and it proves nothing, and if anything is a red flag denoting more of the same charlatanism and pseudoreligious crap people have been trying to shovel for decades.

Show us something we don't know, in terms and symbologies we're familiar with and can understand, that can be independently verified like the proofs linked and exampled, and we can go from there.

It's that simple.

Demonstrating such doesn't give humanity access to any super weapons or technologies we can't handle.
It doesn't violate any prime directive nonsense.

Dude c'mon, its just a fun question! Maybe if He/she/they gave us verifiable info that we don't have, but given the info we could test it and verify it. Without some sort of truly astonishing provable truth most people would either brush it off as crazy or fiction.

They could not use purely textual communication to show/prove that they are alien to this world. To prove something of that nature, they would have to be flesh and blood before us, rocking up above our houses and apartments with their interstellar sound systems blaring Black Hole Rock at us, and generally scaring the pants out of morons in authority.

Honestly though... There is no way to prove a persons age, sex or location in a purely textual way, let alone their species, home galaxy or home planet.

Phage is the alien.

Why would they want to expose themselves like that? Why travel to some planet that that has a truth embargo active then paint a big target on you?

If for one moment you actually seamed legitimate in your claims I would not be surprised if some mod closed the thread for staff review with a few moment later some black car or helicopter shows up at your location so you can get dragged away into some secret underground prison to be interrogated and possibly dissected, never see the light of day or your home world again.

If I was an alien I would just keep my mouth shut about that one.

2. IF they were...they would not HAVE to show us they are alien.
3. And even IF they were and wanted to...who's to say their (or YOUR definition of) "text communication" wouldn't have some psycho-kinetic from of interacting through the printed word to get us psychically in tune with them?
