Think about the end result. When all the stress and brain torture is over you will have something to be very proud of!

Consolatory hugs.

Easy to say but I'm simply not grasping the concepts, and when I think I FINALLY have it and aply it, I'm wrong.
The class week ends tomorrow, and if I'm not done with this week's assignment, I'm automatically dropped, so there rreally isnt anything I can do at this point.
I am so damn frustrated right now

Isn't there a tutor that you avail yourself? You've come this far after all. Or is there more crappy numbers crunching classes after you finish this one to get the degree?

Hey hunny...here's a *hug*,
can you find help online? Is there somewhere that will explain the concept better for you?

It's so frustrating when you just can't 'get' something! Math never meant anything to me unless it pertained to money, lol. I should have probably taken Accounting, but oh well....just making a point.
Someone has to be able to explain it a different way....?

*feel helpless*

I think I have a business math course after this, accounting, which I hope to god aint too bad, budgets, ledgers etc
Dunno WHY I need this crap to design video games tho...

ETA: I'm done with it for tonight, I'm not messing around anymore tonight with it. I'll start fresh again tomorrow, if I am able to complete my assignment, great, if not, oh well

OK....I had the same problem....your lecturer just isn't speaking your language. Is there another Math lecturer you can turn to?
You just need it explaining to you in a different lingo is all.
Step out of the box and ask YOURSELF to make sense of it.

Almost every course seems to have the various math disciplines in them nowadays. I think that it's just one of the ways that local community colleges, State Colleges and Universities pad their pockets.

But coding games is a mathematical endeavor. Why the business math course though...that's just stupid. Unless some one can set me straight on that one.

All colleges provide free tutoring... go to the tutoring center and ask for some math help, that is what got me through!

Those math tutors were like my best friends!

Its part of the "well rounded student" concept.

Accounting is a good class to have.

Accounting is easy, once you get the algebraic math meme out of your head. Accounting is a balance math system. Whoever came up with it is one of those geniuses in the dark recesses of history.

I am interested in how he will use the statistics class he seems to be taking. I get the probability factor in scripting....I am just not sure how it would translate for him to have to understand standard deviation, etc.
