I used to have a fight theme in my head when going into any kind of battle. Silly. I know. Regardless of the fight, I'd always psyche myself up. Either budgetary, legal, corporate, physical.

This is my new fight theme.

Bring it, bitches.

It's a long distant memory from a Cody dressed in a khaki shorts and shirt, at work with his dad at R.A.F. Luqa (Airforce brat here) Back in the day that we all knew a Formica table and a few sandbags would stave off a nuclear missile attack from Russia.

It was the end of the cold war, dad was flying Nimrod's and I asked what would happen if the 4 minute warning went off.

"Well my son, if we can't get off the ground in time, then we all run for the bolt hole."

The nuclear shelter.

It's an expression I've used all my life, it's my safe place.

I wanted to share it with ATS, a place of safety amongst the madness, where all are welcome.

Hmmmm.....nope, for me the original....sit back, close your eyes....stick headphones on if you want.....

The Planets is one of my fav classical pieces, and for something as powerful as Mars you need a whole orchestra to tell the whole tale.....the conversation. To limit it to just a few instruments, it gets lost in translation.....but that's just me.

Ah... lovely!

The reason I like the Sinfonity version of this tune, is because it combines two of my favourite elements of music, those being the drama, the passion, the power of classical style, with the searing, cutting tones of electric guitars.

When I was a child, I was always exposed to classical music, through media and through my parents enjoyment of it. However, I always thought to myself, "how awesome would that sound played on electric six strings?". So every time I hear classical music these days, I always hear the electronic version echoing out of the deep recesses of my head. Sinfonity make those echos fuller and richer than my mind is capable of producing, and I appreciate them for that!
